QUOTE(Old1030 @ Nov 23 2022, 05:00 PM) Thank God my loan approved within 2 days dashcam can easily DIY install. install outside they very rough simply shove the cables into the plastic parts with force. not their car ma. months down the road you will hear rattling plastic parts if u unlucky.now the dilemma begin I prefer AV but as I read thru all pages and watching YT,,, H is enough The only reason if I choose AV is probably dashcam, lazy to install outside,, not the other safety features, that I dont appreciate at my other Car QUOTE(gahpadu @ Nov 23 2022, 07:47 PM) Just press the button once ( i think those top left ) It will disable LKC even u off/restart the engine yes, true.QUOTE(myteam94 @ Nov 24 2022, 10:41 AM) ACC only valuable if ATIVA equip with EPB (AH), can engage Traffic jam assist + Stop & Go function. why p2 havent upgrade Ativa to include EPB/auto hold... alza already got, meanin this is now common part.Syiok. Personally, I go with AV mainly because of full suite ADAS, AEB is not enough. BSM assist for blindspot moto and LKA/LDW do assist especially long distance driving. Haven't tried RCTA as I park reverse parking most of the time. hybrid ativa only have for now. QUOTE(Old1030 @ Nov 24 2022, 10:52 AM) complete my booking AV variance, Silver, paid booking thru UFirst congrats.SA said waiting time 2 mth min 3 mth max BTW, what tyre pressure you all use for ativa? mine from factory they pumped 28bar... kinda high. feel bumpy |

QUOTE(justnits @ Nov 29 2022, 05:56 PM) Not useful 5. I'm using the A400 from 70mai front and back. very wide 145 angle for front, and 130 for rear. Cheap right now in online shopping.5) DVR, this bugger keeps falling off from the adhesive! And the FOV isn't that wide angle. I rather not have this and rather choose to buy aftermarket dashcam like A500S. 6) LKC this isn't that good, there's hit and miss, and I always keep this off unless I am driving on the highway and want to enable CC. 7) Auto high beam, this is another bad feature, it doesn't detect the car I am tail gating behind and the AHB high beam the poor soul in front of me. Overall, I am paying the extra money for just 2-4 additional feature over the H variant. Given the choice again, I would've opt for H instead of AV base on my usage. 6. I hate LKC. turned it off permanently. The car doesnt just stay in centre of the lane like other LKC i have used. The one in Ativa makes my car bounce from left line to right line. macam pinball. Very poor programming. 7. you should report to P2. Maybe need calibration. Mine worked very well. and I intentionally tested it too. Only problem is it doesn't seem to recognize motorbikes. But for cars of any type, it will turn off the beam very accurately. |

QUOTE(justnits @ Dec 1 2022, 11:32 AM) 5. yeah, my options are only within the 70mai models, definitely better than the ones that comes with it. did you remove the factory installed dvr? or can it's power cable use with your dashcam? 5. mine didnt come with the P2 dashcam, so I bought my own +rear cam. Same as you, I have several cars also using 70mai, so I want to stay in this ecosystem and use a single app to manage all the cameras. I'm using the car's existing 2.1amp USB slot, and it has enough power for both front and rear cameras.6. i didn't experience it like pinball though, but it definitely feels like the programming is like early version and unpolished like other LKC. 7. if there's oncoming cars, it doesn't light up. so when i'm driving behind a car, and no oncoming traffic, the AHB triggers perhaps i'll test somemore and then report to P2 the next time i go for service 6. For now, it is too unrefined. Maybe we were spoilt by other cars lane centering function. Lets keep hoping P2 will release an update for the software AI. 7. do you mean it cannot recognize the tail lights of the cars in front of you? or oncoming cars? |

QUOTE(justnits @ Dec 1 2022, 06:27 PM) I see... I'm so annoyed by the P2 dashcam 😠 your model has auto leveling headlamps?I've seen before in Fb got ppl flash or reprogram the LKC and/or CC to make it more refined. I didn't bother much about it since that time I haven't booked my car yet lol It doesn't recognize the taillight of other cars in front of me. |

QUOTE(justnits @ Dec 3 2022, 06:43 PM) Yeah it did. I gave the AHB another try the other day, and what I noticed is that while the high beam indicator is up, it doesn't actually "high beam" the car in front of me or any oncoming cars. I forgot that it is actually Adaptive Driving Beam, only high beams where there's no light source detected by the sensors. That's what I thought too. Eventho the blue "auto high beam" icon lights up, it still automatically controls which beam lits so it wont blind other motorists. This is due to the Adaptive Driving Beam function on AV and H. justnits liked this post

QUOTE(jpaq @ Dec 5 2022, 04:09 PM) Can I just ask if anyone here find that adjusting the seat and the steering wheel for the optimum driving position is a pain in the ass? I absolutely cannot find the ideal position for myself. If I want to be nearer to the steering wheel, my legs feel cramped and my right knee knocks against the steering wheel column when I depress the brake pedal. If I raise the steering wheel, I find it's too high for comfort. If I sit further back, I find that my arms are reaching a little too much to have optimum control of the wheel. If I tilt the seatback forward - arms, legs and knees all ok, but I feel I am sitting too upright, feeling hunched and off balance! Aaaaarrrggghhh! LOL. I'm even considering installing a short boss kit, but I'm not sure whether this will screw with my warranty pulak. same for me. I did found that if I raise/lower the height adjustment of the seat, it gives an entirely different "angle. Try it, might work for you too.Next car I wont settle for any cars without telescopic steering adjustments anymore! |

QUOTE(justnits @ Dec 6 2022, 01:47 AM) I got curious, read the comparison review between Veloz vs Alza, further.for rm20k you also get these: -wireless apple carplay/android auto. -larger 17" rims (personally like odd number rim sizes) -telescopic adjustable steering wheels -real DRL on headlamp unit -functional roof rails -interior ambient lighting -wireless Qi charger in middle console -auto climate control -taller ride height Personally, I would go for veloz (over alza), because that is a lot of the extras for 20k (especially once divided into installments). What about you? justnits liked this post

QUOTE(justnits @ Dec 7 2022, 09:52 AM) I didn't read or look up much on Veloz and Alza because I don't need or want a 7 seater. The features that you mentioned is it available only in the top variant? Well this is a thread for "car buying" actually (look at first post, and TS background). so we're not tied to any rules hahahaWhere is the central locking button in Veloz? Eh uolls don't derail the topic 😅 Do you guys follow the tyre pressure recommendation for your Ativa? I find the recommended pressure of 34 psi seems a bit too stiff to my liking and dropping them to 32-33 seems more comfortable. I remember the recommended was 2.4bar. I also find it too bumpy. How low can we go? I prefer comfort over fuel savings. I'm wondering if I should deflate to 2.3bar or even 2.2. Is that too low? BTW perodua when released the car to me, it was at 2.8bar wth rite |

QUOTE(justnits @ Dec 8 2022, 02:33 AM) It is common practice for new cars to have their tyres with higher air pressure in it. Can't recall the exact reason, but I think it's along the lines of not letting the tyre go out of shape in case if the car is going to be stationary for a period of time while waiting for buyer. i will try your suggestion on using 2.3 bar. my other cars are usually 2.2 bar, but those arent suv's tho. the area i drive thru daily have uneven (tampal here n there) and rough (old roads) so perhaps lowering the pressure further will do it good. thanksYeah, same as Turbo Ativa, 34 psi or 2.4 bar. So far 33 psi or 2.3 bar feels like a sweet spot for me, didn't want to go anymore lower 😅 |

QUOTE(FrogBlob @ Dec 19 2022, 03:08 PM) Has happened to me before, but only around twice in my one and half year ownership. 1 month+ of ownership. it automatically turned itself on and then off again, and on again, for a couple of times.Did you install any aftermarket accessories? Best if can take video to record the occurrence and show to service center. I had to factory reset the HU so it would stop doing it. OK next time I will be sure to record a video of it |

QUOTE(FrogBlob @ Dec 20 2022, 10:49 AM) For the record lah, that 99km/L is a glitch, I get only about 26km/L on average. It has been great, especially since I live and work in the city where even a 5km stretch of road could often mean a 1 hour traffic jam! What I dont like, is the ACC isn't as refined as in, say the X50. it sometimes will accelerate too suddenly to catch up with the car in front, so dont feel very comfortable. Another thing is the S-PDL mode driving. It is great but since engine braking wont trigger the brake lights, I worry motorists behind me may not have enough time to stop if they aren't alert. QUOTE(CZero @ Dec 20 2022, 10:37 PM) sigh. all these ppl telling me new car usually comes with windscreen insurance. i checked mine but there's none. i guess i have to fork 1.8k to replace this? Did this crack happened for no reasons? I read about this quite regularly from other ativa owners on FB.also, i heard stories about the sensor/radar whatever that was mounted on the windscreen would have issues after they replaced it. how do i go about this? find dr cermin? go to sc? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Seem it can happen to any window glass, not just the front. Must be some poor QC by local vendors. Perodua's proud claim of "95% local parts" is actually a curse? QUOTE(contagiouseddie @ Dec 21 2022, 07:34 AM) Usually only salesmen that cares will ask you about the windscreen coverage. But again, it really looks like Ativa windscreen macam quality cap ayam. Can see so many cases of it on FB. Again, maybe poor QC by local vendor. Hope not some crony company (what's new) |
