Yeah 2 front doors just like yours. Its okay for me too but definitely could be better. Comparing with my other 2 cars a Merc and Beemer, I just need to lightly push the front door and the swing momentum is enough to fully close the door.
*
I can feel the same way too. The two front doors seem to have more force to close it compared with behind two doors.

Btw, just got my car today, with silver AV.

I enjoy the car so much. Too much features in the car, probably need to spend time to look into manual. Unfortunately, most of manuals are digital copy (esp the owner's manual), and they are using app (ufirst) for replacing service booklet. Everything goes digital although i still prefer booklet made by paper.

No need app to see manual. Search emanual Perodua, or check Perodua website (I forgot which section), you can download the pdf of the manuals.
I agree also, really prefer hardcopy to flip through.
*
yup.. managed to get the url from the qr code as scanned from the booklet biggrin.gif

yeah.. it's kinda tedious to read through over 500 pages of pdf within my mobile phone. Although they did provide a quick reference guide booklet, i still prefer the owner manual that has informative details that explain every aspect of the vehicle.

Congratulations! Mine's a 2T red. It's a very nice car for the price. Power button is very addictive as it makes a lot of difference in your acceleration.
*
Thanks! dual tone color looks sporty and attractive looking too! However, they dont have dual tone for silver, so it's fine for me without dual tone.

With lots of safety features and SUV, indeed a nice price for such decent car, and most important is the driving experience is enjoyable all the time biggrin.gif

yeah.. with power turned on, indeed it will able to pick up the acceleration faster. The only curious part is whether the turbo is utilised when power is turned on? It doesn't mention much about this.

There's a note mentioned in 4-3 that the engine has to be idle for a minute before turn off the engine in order to prevent the damage on turbo unit. I can assume that, there's no built-in cooling solution on turbo after the engine is turned off?

Can confirm whether all ativa has no headlight leveling switch located at right side of the driving panel? I saw that button is empty, although it did mention that in the manual lol.

you guys can hear the turbo spooling sound? cause mine unit quite loud
*
The sound like roaring when accelerate it heavily. i think it's normal as their soundproof is not as good as the x50, but still acceptable. I have seen someone did changing the soundproofing by taking off all the compartment and replacing the layer of soundproof.

comprehensive safety =good deal
power is gear function. not relate to enjin turbo.

idle 1 minute is same like old school we use apexi turbo timer. let enjin oil circulate +radiator fan blowing even u removed out key.

most western car got auto timer (na & turbo). just exit as usual

i remember mcm pretty gal told us got auto leveling spec & manual leveling choice among specs
*
Didn't know much about turbo as it's my first car to have turbo. It helps alot on 1.0 engine, doesn't feel the lack of power for normal ride, except climbing up the cliff that took me 3k rpm with 50-60km/h. still not dare to accelerate more as it's still new and maintain low speed for time being biggrin.gif

Hi guys, after for several usage of new atitva, just curious anything we need to tune it further? I found that:

1. we can actually bypass the infotainment cable, so that video can be played during the ride, i think it's quite useful for long ride and the kids can able to watch from the screen. Although it can be DIY by own, but unsure whether it bypass connectivity is safe and the warranty will be void?

2. I notice given with free voucher from tinted shop along purchasing my new car, and still consider anything I need to add? another layer of tinted film, or perhaps the ceramic cooated film for the car body? thought to make good use on the voucher. Any advice? biggrin.gif

If you're using android phone, install EasyConnection instead of Perodua Smart Link. Same developer. Using EC can play video while moving also.

Not bad, good to hear there's alternative approach instead of touching on its wiring. I will try and find out.

Glad to have your advice. thanks smile.gif

Hi guys, currently I have yet received my gear up utility kit (door visor, mat, rear tray) for a month after received my ativa av car, and the agent told me need to wait.

I'm curious whether is anyone facing the same issue where the gear up utility kit has limited stock from hq, and still good to wait further ? Waiting utility kit for a month is seem ridiculous for me, as I found alot of available stocks selling in Lazada. Lol.

Hmm, I also waited for around 1.5 months or so before I got my door visors and boot tray last week.

Anyhow, do follow up with your SA closely. Did the installation of wheel lock nuts and vibratile for all 4 doors too since I opted for that + door visors only.

Good to hear your kits have arrived late, but a least the kits reached with promise. Just managed to receive agent reply and can install kits and asking for the 1st service together.

Due to I wfh all the time during the mco period, I barely drive up to 200km within a month, and was thinking to delay my service later, would it void my warranty due if the car was not doing service on time although the mileage has yet reached ?

Hi all,

I just realise the tyre pressure was pumped ( from factory ) higher than recommended pressure.

Anyone feel the same way too? Should I pump exact recommendedd pressure (240) ?

I usually pump around 38 psi for all 4 wheels since car is stationary most days due to WFH. Depends on personal preference I suppose. Some prefer to follow manufacturer's recommendations or some say higher PSI makes the car too stiff but for me and my rides, I tend to pump around 34-38 range.
*
thanks for the feedback guys. I was trying to fill the pressure based on recommendation (240) and now driving getting less bumpy compared the first time driving when collecting my car.

Im getting started to enjoy my drive now biggrin.gif

In this case, no need lah, just two black stripes. Dominant colour still the original colour then should be okay.

Speaking of dechrome, anyone else thinks there is quite an excess of chrome on the Ativa?
*
yes. i found the chrome is too much exposed on front, prefer a single logo perodua chrome, that should look simple and elegent.

btw, is vibratile package offered from perodua can improve on denoise? the price is based on single door or all 4 doors?

Hi guys! Thread has been abit inactive lately, how's your Ativa doing?

One big flaw of the Ativa I would say it's the headunit. Very limited and has no Android Auto or Carplay.
I found a workaround for Android Auto without changing the headunit, although it's only limited for Android users.

First, download Android Auto for Phone Screen apk. It's an official app from Google in the Play Store but since AA never officially released here, I just downloaded the APK.
Next, use EasyConnection to link to the headunit.
Then just run the app.
Voila, now you have AA - sort of. This version of AA is not the full version that has a home screen like a tablet, it's more like a lite version but still works perfectly with Maps and Spotify.

It's very janky, and its not perfect. But it's free so if you're curious about AA can give it a shot.

For Carplay users, no luck with the headunit, sadly.

hi guys, been so long didn't update lately. Talk about the HU, it may not useful much, it may take few steps to get the thing done perfectly. sometimes, it buggy until the smartlink was disconnected and need to reconnect it again.

Recently, bought some accessories for:
1. car interior slot mat, and i found it's useful on middle compartment, so that those items will intact on its position when driving.
2. armrest storage box with coin compartment - i like the part where can keep the coins that can hold at one place.

I haven't thought of adding soundproof at the moment, may thinking to upgrade HU. Someone who owned ativa, he added the soundproof and realise the sound system has improvement (using stock speakers) with better bass.

Unfortunately, I didn't aware i was parking way too near on the side of divider, I have rely too much on the front sensor, but i was wrong. the front sensor couldn't detect well on low-height divider, first scratch on plastic bumper, and the bumper has slightly out of position. Nothing i can able to fix it doh.gif

Hope you guys doing good while enjoy driving with it.

Thinking of soundproofing also, the NVH really not that good in Ativa. But does soundproofing void any warranty? The only place I know that can do is another LYN forum member iinm.
Headunit maybe wait for better ones or when I have extra cash because headunits on the market either too expensive or just seems like a downgrade from the stock one.
Very funny actially. I took to headlight shop, they check and check, no cracks whatsoever. So I just pray and hope it stays that way.
From the accident got cracks under the headlight area, so I take to mudguard shop and patched it up. If look closely can see but ohwell what to do.
But when I open up my hood, can see the clips that hold the headlight to the body already pecah, so yesterday baru use resin and hardener to patch up.
*
NVH is not good enough, but better than my old batch of my myvi. Im not sure whether it will void the warranty if soundproof was installed outside (not from perodua SC), and they can give any excuse to void for warranty if they're not friendly type biggrin.gif

talked about the stock headunit, im quite curious of its system specification too.

Oh dear.. hope your issue can be resolved asap. most important is the led bulb can be easily changed without touching on that clip, the solution is not permanently sticking on the body, otherwise it's difficult to take out the bulb from inside.
