HLA becomes third Malaysian insurer to provide COVID-19 coverage

The coverage is given at no extra cost as part of HLA’s complimentary special benefit for policyholders with individual medical plans when they get admitted at private hospitals for COVID-19 treatments in...

Categories 3 (symptomatic, pneumonia)
Category 4 (symptomatic, pneumonia, requiring supplemental oxygen)
Category 5 (critically-ill with multi-organ involvement).

“This programme also offers policyholders coverage for post-vaccination complication with daily hospitalisation benefit of RM200/day up to seven days for any complications that may arise after they are vaccinated,” noted HLA.

Allianz launched the same time with HLA on the Covid coverage on 14th Aug

thumbup.gif Much better than some that has "Policyholders are entitled to claim hospitalisation reimbursement up to their annual limit and lifetime limit subject to the existing terms and condition of their medical plan."

wink.gif if your medical benefits has over >1 mil annual limit, that's not an issue.

with 20 mil, assuming each case is Stage 5 that cost 200k, you just need 100 people to claim up the amount & that's it (unless the insurance company extends the amount)

If you have annual limit 1M and refresh every year;
means if this year you claim 400k , you left 600k to use this year , for next year you get fresh 1M again.

if you have annual limit 500k and lifetime limit wont refresh and shared used;
means if this year you claim 400k , you left 100k only for you to use whole life
