I read before, if you took the same plans n rider from the same company for the same coverage amount and for the same coverage duration, thd premium is almost standard between the agenrs.

What's your issue? Looking for lower premium or better amount of coverage?

Not sure when you start the plan.
Check your policy table. Increase premium may give you higher cash value at the end.
Lower may not able to sustain the plan till the end. (pay more by that time to continue)

If this is the only insurance policy in hand, suggest you look into critical illness coverage.

Stay safe . SOP smile.gif

You need to balance between how much you need vs how much you can afford. If you worry that this sounds expensive, you can ask other agents to quote similar coverage and see what is the pros and cons. You have to be careful that if someone else say they are cheaper, are they really cheaper but actually the policy cant sustain until end of term.

You are talking about premium but are you considering if you are having enough coverage? If CI is only 30k, is that enough for you. Or death coverage 50k, is that enough? If not enough, how will you address the difference?

It is often a price issue on the consumers end when such a post comes up.
From among the most common intentions are:
"Is the agent cheating me?"
"Am I being conned?"
"Is there a better rate elsewhere?"

And it is equally common that consumers end up with quotations such as the above.
As what adele123 pointed out, perhaps you want to consider a meaningful sum of coverage as opposed to having a wide range of coverage but of insignificant value.

Frankly, your policy looks like you're trying to get crumbs of everything.
It is usually a result of poor fact finding and a lack of objective.

Kindly reconsider.

hey guys, I bought medical card from a friend's friend who is an agent for AIA.

I am not happy with this agent's services as this agent is usually hard to be contacted and less than willing to help me with my queries on the claims.

Any idea on how to change agent for my policy? Is there any drawbacks on doing so? How would her commission from me will be transfered to the new agent?

1. You can file a complaint towards the agent. You may contact 1300-88-1899 to do so.

2. You can write in to request to which agent you would like to switch to together with your reasons & justification.

Drawback ? Your agent gets questioned by the company he/she represents.

3. No, the new agent will not get any commission. It'll maintain at your current agent.

I understand there is an app for claims checking.

What I meant was asking / querying on claims related situations / cases.

I am not too happy with this agent to be honest.

Hey guys,

Could someone here suggest me which takaful operator and package are suitable for a family without kids?

Me and my wife currently have CuepacsPA (200k) and CuepacsCare (family package, 60k annual limit). We plan to get takaful (medical and critical illness) as the Cuepacs does not cover critical illness and the medical coverage is low. Both are 30++ yo, working occupation class 1 (office), and non-smokers.

We plan to get a medical card that could cover at least 500k annually, the critical illness at least 300k, and for protection only and not investment type.

Any comments/suggestions are greatly welcome!

Hmm I could only think of AIA Public Takaful based on your description - No investment.

commission cannot be transferred without the consent of the original agent, however, you can switch the agent of your choice to enjoy better service

hey bro, thanks for the reply.

however, i think it is unfair to the new agent as the new agent will be serving the client for free?

can new agents reject these kind of clients who wants to transfer out from original agent?

i dont see any merit for new agents to take up these cases.

They can reject but in fact some agents outside willing to do so by FREE transferring other agent's policy for servicing. To compensate the new agent, you can refer more customers to her/him.

The purpose is to stop non-genuine transfer by agents who tries to lure customer to switch agent for various reasons.

So to make it simple, you can request to switch agent, but commission stays with the original agent unless the original agent is willing to release everything to the new agent.

QUOTE

This scenario would less likely to happen because you'll need the agent's name & code to put it in writing for the transfer, which means the new agent would have likely disclose it to you to consent)

And yes, if the above "does" happen, the agent you intend to transfer to, may reject your application.

I have a question if im not sure anyone can answer. Assuming a person has passed away, is there a way i can find out what insurance company he has insurance with? I checked out life Insurance Association of Malaysia and they said that i have to call each company. Any other way apart from that? Thank you

If your main concern is who is earning your money, then is better to terminate and buy new to have peace of mind.

On the other hand, if you think is a waste to terminate, tben leave it to them to sort it out.

Lastly, if is neither the above two, then just liaise with CS in the future .... which is what I am doing.

if you can't find the policy or the person did not inform you anything about their insurance policy, your only bet is to call each of the company to ask if the person had any active policy with them.
