On a few articles that I read, they does not emphasis on the higher PPI, as differences on the PPI is hard to be notice by human eyes (unless you stick your eyes to the screen laugh.gif  laugh.gif ) and also will increase power consumption of the phone. Instead they emphasis on good display with better colour accuracy and better readability under the sunlight.

at times when use FB or browse online..the attachment (vid/pic) seems bit blur
with prev phone no need to click to zoom
same when reading pdf

no huge issue though, other than that all ok icon_rolleyes.gif

Breaking news!

Exynos 2100. Switch into power saving mode will improve the GPU performance up to 30%. But the power saving mode will drain the battery much faster. What kind of sorcery is this!? Sounds like a bug.
*
Power saving mode applies on CPU only on the Exynos model. Smartphones have restricted TDP due to passive cooling. For this case, since CPU is using less power, it gives more power for the GPU to boost clock higher like nVidia Dynamic Boost 2.0 (this one uses AI to dynamically adjust power for both CPU and GPU), rather than AI, we are doing manual control here. This is just my assumption but the theory does make sense to a certain extent.
By right power saving mode, should reduce power usage for both CPU & GPU which is true for Snapdragon model, but only CPU for Exynos model. I guess there is some software bugs needs fixing here.

Since games uses less CPU power for mobile game anyway, the increase performance for GPU will lead to higher FPS in games that rely heavily on graphics.

Your theory sound legit. At the same time, it also mean that Samsung could actually tune up their exynos gpu performance until on par with snapdragon level. It's all about customisation. It will be excellent if they can provide us like cpu mode and gpu mode. Daily usage use cpu mode. Play game use gpu mode. Like rog phone with their gaming mode.

Just trade in my Note 20 ultra with S21 Ultra last week. I found the 4G signal strength on S21 Ultra is just the same with Note 20 Ultra. around 2 or 3 bar only (average between -93 to 100 dBM). Not much improvement on 4G signal strenght as I would expect). When I change the Sim Card to IP12 Pro Max the 4G signal strength is always at full bar. The 4G speed test using IP12 Pro Max also faster & stronger in IP12 Pro Max compared to S21 Ultra. Maybe modem Qualcomm used on IP12 Pro is better than Exynos modem used on S21 Ultra.

just wow. can say that this time exynos already on par with sd for s21 series.

sd pros = better performance
exynos pros = better battery and heat

if avid mobile gamers who doesn't care for higher graphics setting will enjoy the exynos version i think.

You upgraded from note20u to s21u, right? Mind to share with me your experience? Is it good for upgrade?

Is the phone feel warm when normal use... Is it exynos2100 cooler than exynos990?

I have been used note10+ but found n20u really hot always ...

appreciate your sharing between both.
*
After around 5 days of use,yes its cooler.
Never checked temps before but so far besides during the initial samsung switch, never felt the phone being warm to touch.
I don't game a lot so I can't comment on that.

Battery life especially standby time also improved.
Previously on my Note20U, can't last through a 12 hour shift at work with full 4g. Now from unplugged at 80% till finish work left around 20%. This is on full 4g with so so reception so if you are mostly on wifi/have good signal strength I expect you'd get better battery life.

To be honest, the most satisfying thing about the upgrade has been the battery life.

Other points that have improved
Screen - texts are sharper since we can run it at QHD instead of stuck at 1080p 120hz. Depends on people but it's actually noticeable for me.

Camera - even though both note 20u and s21u using laser auto focus, the focus enhancer mode that uses the wide angle for close shots works really well if you use the camera for close shots a lot. S20U has the worst camera experience sweat.gif

All in all am finally satisfied with my phone. After a year of going through the S20U then Note20U.

*I know the SD may have better performance/battery life. But can't bring myself to risk getting a phone with poor/no local warranty support. Have had good experiences with Samsung SC so far, S20U changed screen + camera module, note 9 changed camera module. All done within few hours with no fees.

Slightly better than the Note 20 Ultra fingerprint. Dont need to press harder now. But occasionally I still need to press 2 to 3 times if i miss the fingerprint spot. Not as fast & reliable like optical fingerprint used by Vivo & Oppo phones

Scratches? Really? Not that I doubt your words but in my ‘not caring to remember’ number of years that I own a mobile phone, never was there a single scratch on any. Perhaps it’s due to my OCD.

Glass will always be glass. Even sapphire glass can be scratched. But of course we are not talking about those scratches that leaves a mark. We are talking about hairline scratches that can only be seen by tilting your phone at certain angle. These scratches is unavoidable without a screen protector.

Micro sands on your fingers swiping around the screen, heck even sliding the phones into your pocket leave scratches.

Worth every bit getting a 5G enabled phone for you now. For us we can only wait.

Is the transition from 5G to 4G to 3G smooth?

oh my you're confused on what you'be missed out.

Note 20U comes with Buds Live
Pre-Order S20U depending beli mana, comes with ANOTHER Buds PRO (not Live), Fit2 (Pre-order ROI, or SenQ PO), Samsung wired ANC (Samsung online) on top the other Trio wireless charger and the useless SmartTag.
