Best small phone now is probably the iPhone 12 mini to be honest.

Maybe next year exynos with amd gpu can finally catch up to SD's adreno
I'm upgrading from note20u 990 cause at the very least they seem to have improved battery performance.
This phone is definitely not the one to get if one is a hardcore gamer.

Got the note for rm3899 during 11/11 sales, phone is good overall but the battery life leaves something to be desired.
Probably not the most wise choice to upgrade but hand itchy lah and the galaxy buds pro included with the preorder tempting

I pre-ordered already, initially plan to trade in if got good price but seems like the trade in offer will only finalised end
of the week according to the SA at Samsung shop. Collection for pre-orders starts today so probably will collect and
sell it off in Garage sales.

Was told by the SA, collection for preorder starts tomorrow but depends on when you preorder also. Apparently got 3 batch, one is from 15 to 20, 21 to 24th and those who order after 25th.
My order was after 21st so might only get the phone on Friday

Yeap saw the gary explains video. Seems like exynos this round still lose and throttling also.
At least they improved compared to 990.
If looking for the best performance + heavy gamer definitely go for sd888

Might be because using WiFi? Or your files many small small files instead of a few large files. Especially if you have thousands of pics.
Try using cable to switch should be more reliable.

After a year of using Exynos 990 (S20U and Note20U), Samsung finally did it right with the new Exynos 2100.

Battery life on my new S21U is significantly better. 50% 4hours SOT.
This is on full WiFi though. Will have to monitor the next few days and see what kind of battery life I get at work on 4g.
Screen setting is QHD 120hz.

From 100% to 15% with 7+ hours SOT. Mostly on WiFi, around 1 hour+ of 4g when I was outside.
Definitely leaps better than what I got from S20U/Note20U.

Quite surprising the SD888 version is cheaper though! Would definitely be interesting to see what SOT you'd get from the SD888, if it's 20% better that'd mean almost 10hours SOT. What a beast

Saw the case when I went to collect my phone.
Didn't like the texture, felt kinda cheap
Probably wait for 3rd party cases with a slot would be cheaper and better

Apply for screen warranty use naked once the preapplied sp goes bad. Have an "accident" before the one year warranty ends and get a brand new screen.

Based on a few YouTube videos I've seen yep it's the same size

After around 5 days of use,yes its cooler.
Never checked temps before but so far besides during the initial samsung switch, never felt the phone being warm to touch.
I don't game a lot so I can't comment on that.

Battery life especially standby time also improved.
Previously on my Note20U, can't last through a 12 hour shift at work with full 4g. Now from unplugged at 80% till finish work left around 20%. This is on full 4g with so so reception so if you are mostly on wifi/have good signal strength I expect you'd get better battery life.

To be honest, the most satisfying thing about the upgrade has been the battery life.

Other points that have improved
Screen - texts are sharper since we can run it at QHD instead of stuck at 1080p 120hz. Depends on people but it's actually noticeable for me.

Camera - even though both note 20u and s21u using laser auto focus, the focus enhancer mode that uses the wide angle for close shots works really well if you use the camera for close shots a lot. S20U has the worst camera experience

All in all am finally satisfied with my phone. After a year of going through the S20U then Note20U.

*I know the SD may have better performance/battery life. But can't bring myself to risk getting a phone with poor/no local warranty support. Have had good experiences with Samsung SC so far, S20U changed screen + camera module, note 9 changed camera module. All done within few hours with no fees.

IMO really depends on how you view your phone and want to justify the upgrade. For me it's because the phone is the most used device, so I don't mind spending a bit to get something that I'm satisfied with.

Well the most reasonable option is to wait it out, till 2nd half of the year or when the rumored amdxsamsung gpu comes as that's probably where you'll see a bigger improvement in terms of performance.
Or can look at other options eg oneplus 9 if don't mind switching brands.

Off day from work today so spent an unhealthy amount of time on the phone
Fully on WiFi, could probably hit at least 9, almost 10 hours of SOT if purely doing light stuff like I did today. Youtube, netflix and browsing Web.
