Some update from my friends regarding vlan600.. Calling TM tech after failed to configure the Mikrotik. The Tech come and ask the center to enable vlan 600 at BTU port 3. They said it's step taken if customer using 3rd party router. They also mention increased of iptv issue with 3rd party router for last few months after TM upgrade their equipment.

As observed since early last year. biggrin.gif VLAN 600 issues with 3rd party router especially Mikrotik. Me & my friend among the first few facing this problem. whistling.gif

Very honest ans to you.
get 100mbps and buy your own router.
it will more than enough use.
300mbps only worth it if your household more than 8person only in a same time.
if i not mistaken M/C P2P controlled. unifi P2P are not block.
Time i'm not sure as i didnt use Time

Thanks for the advice.
I appreciate it.

Since he also went thru two sets of routers and STBs, he's still convinced something is wrong with the hardware, still trying to get more replacement STB to test

Update on my situation

2nd technician bring in new STB, reset the router and reconfigure, voila everything works
TM solved some backend VLAN 600 issue kot? whistling.gif whistling.gif

he told me "if you change your own IP and stuff I don't wanna come back to help you dy" puke.gif

Currently new setup HyppTV direct to the new AZ Technology DS244WSGV box, and I managed to forward VLAN 500 back to my Mikrotik

Thats normal.. when relocate (installation day), i accidently wrong tagged vlan500 port so it wont connected and when i check log, nothing error appeared..

The technician with TM device suddenly said "oh bang, bukan router TM ke.. sbb tu tak boleh.. kita recommend device TM je bang.. ni kalau tak boleh connect, kami consider success installation bang"

Im busy with checking my setup back and reconfigure vlan500 port tagged and connected.. so krikk krikk ah that time..

Normal aa TM, their device is good la apa la.. once we (customer) change router oh suddenly the problem is always start from us (customer).. why? because change their device to aftermarket device.. always facing like this..

Change the BTU to Huawei from FiberHome also the technician said the same.. not using TM router bla bla.. when i ask to reconfigure my old Huawei back, and evey problem solve.. oh that time, looking at my router, asking brand, asking to watch inside config how shakehead.gif

They were trained to do the routine... Most of them have near zero knowledge in networking fundamentals. So, they tend to stick to what had been trained.

When they came to attend my VLAN 600 issue, I just brag a bit, telling them, just listen to me (I'm certified CCNA Instructor, have PhD, blah blah) because I know it can be done. sweat.gif

I suffered similar experience recently? Router in store room, HyppTV STB & AP on living room, from TP-Link SG108E in store room, 1 cable carries VLAN 500 & 600 to living room, where a single TP-Link SG105E split it to AP & STB. It worked flawlessly for years until last month. Unable to make it work again, and un-willing to pull a second cable just for the STB, I gave up & bought Mi Box S to run Unifi TV app.

on the day installed unifi, your packages (contract) will official start running.
let say u installed today, so this month u need to pay (pro-rated) (within 10 days u must pay upfront RM100)
2nd month 30days trial
3rd month will deduct from your upfront
4th month official start paying.

Sry if i missed anything u still need for your inquiry?
*
Sorry I don't quite get it .How is the first bill look alike ?
Why does it have prorated for new subscriber ? I though only those who from smyx to unifi will have prorated.

5-1-2021 installed

1st Bill 5-2-2021= Rm100+129 = Rm242+SST or Rm100+129+129 = RM379 +SST ?
QUOTE(MIYK @ Jan 5 2021, 06:14 AM)
btw rm69 only for MTU (migrate to unifi, streamxy user)
RM100 upfront are must, unless you register at TMPoint itself.
RM100 will deduct back from your acc in coming months, no worries. nod.gif
*
If switching from smyx to unifi only for the 30mbps package ? what about 100mbps package for MTU ?
Does register at TMpoint doesn't need upfront ? but not worry since it'll deduct back.

Oh, I get your point already..

A bit similar like this case loh..

RM69/mthly for first year..
2nd year go back to RM129/mthly if subscribe 100mbps..

Correct me if I'm wrong..
*
From what i heard there rm69 is for 30mpbs 1st eyar and next year change back to original rm89.
Not sure about 100mbps.That is why I asked there whether this year any new promotion package.

When you guys had the problem, did you try connecting back TM’s router and was it OK?

Not sure with other brand, but higher chances it won't work with Mikrotik (VLAN600 only). VLAN 500 all good to go. sweat.gif

Mine is kinda same. BTU is upstairs connected to the main hAP AC2 router. From there vlan50 (my LAN) and vlan600 trunk to my living room’s RB2011UAS which spits out the vlans.

So far, touch wood, it’s still working.
