b4 this i never heard about dis company..myb i not alert the exist of this company...
last month,i was being ask to attend the interview for call centre post done by this company.quite blur bcoz don't know the operation of this company..

on the interview,the participant was more than 10 people.b4 interview,need to take test...need to take 4 test...on my thought,i assume that there was an interview between interviewer and participant only..

after taking all the test,the interview only take about 5-10 minutes..really quite..
i was given an offer and need to go to training for 2 months.the allowance is rm500 per months and located at pj. but,i need to finish my study before joining the course.

after i have graduate,i need to contact them if i interested with their offer and if there any scholarship available for me..

may i know ur reason u pass the job?

the schorlarship is open for those who pass interview and test.
each month,they will limit schorlarship that will be given out for those who success.
if i not mistake,the schorlarship is for call centre..
it session for 2 month.after u have finish the course,u will be provide job.
i heard that their client come from big company...
i haven't attend their training bcoz a not yet finish my study
if there is an offer,myb i will grab opportunity to take the schorlarship...

can anyone explain what happen after that 2 months training... i heard that trainees are guaranteed job after that. so is it the job with scicom or scicom's client, let say company A. then does it mean we are company A staff, or still bonded to scicom?
one more thing, what is scicom about? i read from their site, its bpo. and i've read all the 4 pages here, get many different views though.

Scicom is the least company you would want to work with, unless if you're really desperate. No doubt the salary is good at 2.5k, however, it has been 2.5k since 12 years ago!

No increament. The only other thing you can depend on is the performance related bonus in which, Scicom's standard is really not fair. Computer system is really slow, which effects your bonus marks, 0.001 seconds late -> deduct mark. break time suppose to be 15 minutes however you logged in 0.001 seconds late cut mark, computer start too slow then cut mark. Then you are left with only basic salary.

After that, they will accidently deduct your salary for something you didnt do, like my situation, they deduct 250 by accident last month and can only reimburst next month.

Company also has high turnover which shows that their workers are not happy with this company. There's one senior agent who has been working there for 3 years and she's really good with her job, and her salary has been 2.5k since the day she started, no career advancement, no promotion offer. Scicom don't treat their staffs like an asset but just like workers.

No doubt this is a great place as a first job, to gain experience, but do not het stuck at this place as there's so many political issues in this company. Management is crappy. Thats the worst. Scicom (MSC) Berhad?? Four letters for you: Y U C K.

sometimes thats how things work in the working enviroment, just prepare yourself and try to look for a proper job instead of accepting such offer.

I'm asking on behalf on my friend. Actually what is 4 test you guys mention? What interviewer ask? All training conduct in PJ ?

I know this is not about working in Scicom, just to answer some questions about the training conducted by Scicom.

The 4 tests were very easy. english, some math, iq and i forgot what else. The interview session was not really an interview, more to the person explaining to you what the program is about, whether you're interested, advantage taking the course bla bla bla...then he'll give the offer letter, you sign you go home.

Intake once every 2 weeks I think. Training conducted in Stamford College Jalan Barat PJ and the Menara TA One, depends on which batch you are in.

This program is sponsored by Mdec. Job Camp Training in something Call Centre Operation something....2 months, teach you communication skills, english, presentation, grooming, theory about contact centre etc...the class was fun, met great friends, the trainers were awesome, some have experience working as agents, some don't.. Learnt a lot. Have to do assignments, presentation, role play,class activities.

One of the condition is you cannot work with Scicom but only with the 'employer partner'. Very smart, them to have that in the contract. That way the graduates can't force Scicom to offer the grads the jobs. So no questions about bonding whatsoever.Because the job guarantee is a lie, they can't even offer us an interview guarantee. The employer partner don't come that often to conduct the interview session. Have to wait weeks before one comes.Many graduates still don't have chance to be interviewed yet ,that now we are looking for jobs ourselves, which we don't mind doing except we were promised in the beginning we are going to get a job easily after this training. Some poor friends of mine even quit their jobs before joining this program.

Allowance is not RM500 permonth but RM25 perday. If it's public holiday and no class that day, you won't get paid. Sometimes you get paid once a week, sometimes you don't. Many excuses were given..blablabla...

If you don't have anything to do, not desperate for job. have money to survive with rm125 a week,no car loan, house loan to be paid and you just want to brushen up your soft skills, then you can join. You'll learn something out of this and you'll be given a cert from BTEC Level 3 call centre something. That cert might come in handy, who knows.

but if you are desperate for job, have many bills to be paid and tempted by the 'job guarantee' line. then DON'T! DONT and DON'T! You'll get a job as a Steammeat agent faster than you'll get an interview after the training.

scicom have offer me the training..but now still thinking want 2 accept or not?
so the job guarantee was a lie that want to make us attract with their offer?

like I said if you don't have anything better to do, you can join this job camp
better than lounging around the house
you can pick up some knowledge here and there
the course itself is not bad
its the post-course misleading promise that we have trouble with

This course costs RM 10k per person, sponsored by mdec..the student only get paid rm500 a month
I don't know how much from that 10k goes to Scicom' pocket..go figure

Definitely..the job guarantee tagline can make anyone tempted..
what with they promise you can get a job paying rm1800 - rm2500 after training
who doesn't want that
They have misleaded all of us

Scicom can't say that we are guaranteed a job when we are not going to work with them
only the employer -partner can decide whether they want to hire you or not

they will come to hold interview session (not very often!) and it's their prerogative whether to hire you as their staff
and how much they want to pay you
Scicom only train you, that's all

If you're going to wait for the employer to interview and hire you, you're going to have to wait a long time
however, all of us want to get a job very soon that we decided not to wait and search the jobs by ourselves

i know this program can give benefits but the job guarantee make me reluctant to accept it...
although scicom have made promise that after finish training,they will be given 2 week to search job...a promise is a promise..can't really depend on them...

Guys, can you explain to me what is the role of Technical Support Executive?
Is it the same like Customer Service Executive?

no Technical Support helps the customers more on technical stuff like how to install software, connect to internet, how to use a printer or how to use a mouse. Not everyone is computer and IT literate and they need help with stuff like that

Customer Service does the everything else: receive complaint, help with booking, enquiries, emergencies and many more. Not so much on technical stuff

Hey guys, i've got calls from Scicom just a moment ago. The person who called me is James. He told me that i have been offered to undergo training with them for 2 months and he confidently said that after training, the job will be guaranteed in MNC company.

The salary will be given starting from RM1700-2500. Oh yea, the position is management trainee. So, i'm thinking that it is very nice but seem to me that are not worth it after read your guys comments.

What makes me feel funny when i told him that my salary is more that rm2500 and asked him what if i enroll this program and will the salary be rise or the same. He suddenly changes his confidence sound and told me that the salary will be given as stated.

He also asked me if i could spread the news to my other friends who wish to join the program and he will send me the email advantages of the program.

What do you guys think?

i did receive call from james too.. i can't make decision yet for my job interview.. some more now finacial crisis.. no confidence to get a job so easy at those MNC rite guys?

My colleague's use to work with them, now he's the QA Manager for AIG call center, he told me that Scicom really squeeze your freedom, if you work shift and want to apply for AL quite hard.
