Experience wise, nothing much. But if you focus on more $$$ instead, then move on to Scicom

next monday i'll b start working at scicom cyberjaya
as technical support executive..
for what project..i stil duno yet..
2.5k without any allownace.shift between 5am to 10pm
..for a degree fresh grad it's stil acceptable..

anyone working at scicom cyberjaya can share experience with me?
can i learn alot there?wat can i learn?career advancement?

Previously I worked at Scicom (Singtel Project) for 9 months and it was my first job. Currently I'm working at Shell helpdesk. I think Scicom is a very good place to be if it's your first or second job, can learn many things there especially if you're in the Singtel project.

I must admit that the customers can be a bit crazy sometimes but if you can stay calm and don't take their rantings personally, you'll be fine. It's also a matter of knowing how to manage your stress level. I can think of over a dozen more jobs that is more stressful then working at a helpdesk.

Contrary to mr broken string above, I think the management have treated me well, no complains about them. They're just doing their job preventing things from falling apart. We're used to be in the same project by the way

RM2000 basic for a fresh grad like me last time can be considered a good pay. If you can survive there I believe you won't have any problems working at other places

They really pay well ?? How much they paying now ?? Any new join to this company ??

Btw i heard they are Berhad already

Most probably you'll be the new guy to join my team. See my comments below, if you still haven't sign the offer letter, you still have chance to regret now.

Scicom, pay maybe high compare to outside but unfair pay for some workers. Hired useless people as the management level and causing the whole team to get frustrated. Give lame excuses whenever theres complain.

hello hello there. Well i am ex scicomer as well. Frankly speaking , Scicom is a good company to work with but even as a Assistant manager there, i am working as contract staff. Nowadays, it's difficlut to do things when they know u r contract staff.
Singtel?? kekek , i am the Pioneer there.
Maybe u know who i am kekekek .

In term of call center , scicom pay well for agent level.
U might wanna try Nokia Project. As for Singtel project, they are really expanding.

Diff ppl diff style of managing. Some of the AM/OM in certains project manage their team well.

I'm in Cyberjaya, I guess you are from Menaxx TA right?

I got terminated today.. I need some advice if my company is in the wrong...

- was ment to be working on the 27th, but didn't know...
- got a call from my mate telling me i was in for the day, so i went too work, 1 1/2hrs late
- mind you i was really sick at home, but decided to go to work anyways because i didn't want to call in sick 1 1/2hrs late because only 3 ppl schedule to work that night.
- anyways, i was really sick at work and sorta doozed off at work, not taking any calls or emails.
- the next day boss comes to work and check Service Level, and it was really bad cause i didnt do my part
- he calls me into meeting room, i explained myself and he said he has no choice but to give me Counseling letter, i was okay with it, because its my first counseling letter and its not as bad as warning letter.. mind you this is my first ever letter in the company that i have been working for 5 months
- he goes to submit the counseling letter to HR and HR calls me into HR Office on the next day 28th
- they asked me to tell my story bla bla bla, HR goes to talk to his HR Manager and he comes back and says i am terminated effect immidietly... what!!!!!

- i dont really understand because i am a CONFIRMED staff, and this is my first letter of what sort..
Can they do this????

All my mates at work even my boss at work is really suprised at this decision because my boss only wanted to give me a counseling form, not even a WARNING LETTER..

What can i do? What rights do i have?

And also, i work for a Outsourcing company, the HR is Outsourced but i am based in the clients building.

yes, i am contract staff, and i work for Sci-Com... i don't have an issue with attendance, i am a good staff.. even my Operations Manager was a bit shocked at this result, he was telling them to push for a WARNING LETTER at least as i don't think he wants to lose me..

everyone at work is shocked but people at work get warning letters for more serious offence..

i also re-read the contract and it states that they can terminate me for any issues.... this is retarded..

Don't even work at Scicom guys!! You work soo hard, one mistake in life you get buang...and the funny thing is they didn't even bother to look through my working stats and how i performed the previous months...they just looked at it at a business side of view..

No pressure at work, virtually no calls at times. Better than most call centres..

I used to audit them a couple years ago.
Saw the CEO and their top management staffs at LCCT 2 weeks ago..hehe!

I got a scholarship offer training at scicom academy. But won't be working with them. Just wanted to ask, does anyone know bout the training programme and how good is it?

just went for their interview today, everything was fine n tomorrow need to go to their office again to get the offer letter    zzzz why dun they just give it by today??haiz

can start the training this monday, 500 per month after that guarantee for a job as what they've said.
