ah great.. am now a victim of the bluetooth inconsistency issue. my bluetooth keyboard is detected but cannot work.

my MBA havent arrive but i already received my sleeve for this MBA.i bought Uniq Dfender 13”, solid like heck for minimalist.

I called machines southkey JB since morning to ask for stock. They actually got one coming in evening (they dont know about the availability and ask me to try my luck and wait). So I bought it on site. Anyway the staff said any walk in will need to preorder from now on.

Yes, actually perfectly fit with my 2013 13.3” MBA, which have slightly larger footprint.

While I'm also a strict single Safari page user and no more than 5 tabs, I had my sister use it and she's a multiple browser and has nearly 30 tabs open.

No issues on her side with the 8GB either.

If you're set on getting 16GB, because you know you'll need it, all power to you. IF you're on the fence, I think 8GB might be surprisingly sufficient if your workflow's like mine.

Oh and get used to hearing "phantom" fan noises. I keep thinking I hear my MBA ramp up the fan because that's all the Intel Macs would do. But nope, no fan installed so no fan noise.

This afternoon i visit machine IOI Putrajaya..upon quick inspection i realise that M1 Macbook magic keyboard feels a little wobbly especially space bar. Unlike M1 Pro n macbook air early 2020, this 2 magic keyboard is very study, no wobble and almost feels like butterfly keyboard key travel.

Has anyone encountered "awaiting import license for clearance" before? My order in DHL tracking shows that. Any idea what should I do or just leave it.

Did u buy it from overseas personally and not through apple malaysia website? If you do, then you need to have ecomm and edagang ID for custom clearance.

If its from Apple, leave it. Courier company will contact Apple directly.

My normal use is just YouTube playing and TDA and Microsoft Excel, so under these conditions, absolutely not.

Warm happens when I render short workout videos for my clients, but even that feels like you're holding a puppy on your thigh.

I have done the typical thing that you need to run online classes;

1. TD AMeritrade
2. Safari, going through a bunch of PDF files and websites
3. Excel
4. Streamyard + record [streaming and recording my screen]
5. Zoom

and the MBA handles it like a champ. No issues. My 16" Intel would have gone to the moon by now.

Great laptop, no issues. 10/10 would buy again.

After having both the MBP 16GB and the MBA 8GB, both my gf and I agree the MBA is better for us lighter users.

Haven't found a way to get this MBA to its knees yet if I don't deliberately stress it for no good reason.
