Yes, I have the Dbrand and it is getting a little boring already as the designs are rather plain. Which was why this brand sort of caught my eye. Some of the designs are really nice.

I wish Apple would bring back the option to deactivate this hybrid sleep. It consumes a lot of battery when put to sleep. Like windows we have option to sleep or hibernate. For Mac's it will only go into hibernation when your battery is close to flat.

Just applied some dbrand skins to my MBA and really love the feel and look. Do you guys have issue with the laptop heating up more so then when it was naked? Does the chassis contribute to heat dissipation or is it all the vents?

Nope. Fyi, MBA dont use bottom chassis for heat dissipation. It use chassis at the keyboard part for heat dissipation. MBA dont have any vents.

Has anyone used their 1 year warranty to replace their non defected battery? Was thinking of using the warranty on the last month of coverage just to change the battery to a brand new one I'm not sure if Apple allows to change a functioning battery after 1 year of usage.

I got mine since Malaysia launch in Dec 2020, after 1 year 1 month later, 96% health after 157 cycles. How's your battery status?

Mine is okay, i dont shut off my MBA since day-1. What i do is just close the lid and leave it there.
During CNY, i didn't use much of my MBA, and it still have more than 80% of juices left by end of 6th day of non-utilization.

Lith-ion battery need constant discharge and recharge to be healthy. If possible, try minimize 100% charge as much as possible. 20-80% is the best for healthy battery.

Nonetheless, battery is a wear and tear part with limited lifespan, hence no natter how u take care of it, the health will still drop.

Still good. Laptop is only 3 months old. I control the duration of each charge. Was just inquiring about this since if you can get a loophole to get your battery replaced to a brand new one for free using your warranty why not. Rather than letting the warranty burn.

Yeah that's why if inquiring if anyone used it as a loophole before to get your battery replaced for free under warranty haha. I've heard iPhone users they do this just before their warranty ends to get a free replacement. But I've noticed apple still charge labor.

Apple have a standard set of criteria to be categorised as “Faulty”. Example, below 800 charges your battery health drop below 75%. If u can show Apple ur battery have met those criteria, then they are more than willing to replace for u.

Btw, take it for a pinch of salt on what i give as an example, u need ask Apple through Apple LiveChat for actual diagnoses from Apple.

Not u say wan change then can change. These corporates are not first day in the market, they know ppl are taking advantages here and there.

Anyone here uses a Logitech bluetooth mouse with their Apple Silicon Macbook? I recently downloaded Options+ which is now Apple Silicon ready and it feels like my MX Master 3 is super smooth! Maybe its a placebo effect wink.gif
