Which firmware is now in your TV?
All firmwares is also posted here.....latest is V8-R851T02-LF1V653.019203 or in short V653.

Waiting for Auto update ,usually taking months.....

I have locally update to V650 using USB method that you've shared. Previously the stock firmware was V634 - this one the UI very sluggish and annoying.

If upgrade firmware V653, is the motion handling better? Thanks

TCL C716 don't have MEMC, so motion clarity can be only enabled (Clear LED motion disabled).
Did you ever clear cache data in storage and restart TV ?
"ResetAll" and "Reset shop" in Service menu?
Also ,
System optimize in TV Guard or icon on top, disabled or uninstall unused factory apps, etc,etc....

Edit:
For Astro, be sure you have good HDMI cable (and set HDMI ON in setting,default is Auto).
I have no complain ,mostly channels is HD and only 780 is UHD.

Thanks for tips on clear cache. Yes i do it quite frequent while switching apps. I guess it help to clear up the RAM of the TV.

I decided to not connect this TV to Astro due to its mediocre upscaling ability. In this case the Sony X9000H has better advantage on upscaling HD channel to a better almost-4K quality feed (im not exaggerating, X9000H is definitely a different class for normal FALD non-OLED TV)

Anyone experience connect this TV to Apple TV 4K Box? Does it has better motion handling when watching Netflix/Youtube from Apple TV Box? Thanks in advance.

What do you mean when you said "setup HDMI ON in setting"? Is it in the TV setting or the Astro box setting. I can't find it anywhere 😢

TV setting (only when HDMI port is active) / System/Advanced/ HDMI....

Question to all, I tried to watch movies from USB Pendrive on the TV. But it always say my pendrive is corrupt. When i try insert the pendrive to other TV, it works fine.

Can anyone advice on this? Thanks.

Try it with another flash drive. Format as NTSF. See if it's recognized. If it is, then it's the other flash drive.

If it's not, it's the USB port. Send it for repairs if it's under warranty. If it's not, use the USB sharing function of your wifi router if it has one.

TV USB input is v2.0, so USB pendrive or portable drive should be also same and formatted to FAT32 or NTSF.
Once you inserted,should get notification on TV.
After this open local Media player (or other installed players apps, as VLC, etc), tap on USB and choose your video files.

Did you think TCL C716 better than Xiaomi P1 and Philips 8215 ?

Its definitely way way better than Mi TV P1. Thats all i can say. For philips I dont know.

Just an update.. Chat with TCL official store in Lazada about C725/726 availability and they told me expected early November...

what is the difference between C716 and C726

2020/2021 model? Not sure but india C725 has camera on top of the TV..

I asked about C825 too but they said management no news on this...
