My TV is on firmware ver 620. Original factory firmware was ver 606...also no issue using Kodi.
Also, I think the ver 620 has raise the TV brightness compare to ver 606...colour is more vivid and crisp....

Let me update the firmware, will report back afterwards. I'm currently very happy with colours and brightness, hopefully it will be improved

Should upgrade firmware to 620? TV come with 606.
Can’t find the way to the service menu... folllow the option posted before, but it look different.
Some time saw two firmware as and eu, we should take as version right?

V623 update is OK, running with no problem.

Service menu...
In the Picture setting/ Advanced/ Brightness menu, choose "Contrast" and at this point type:
1950 - General Service Menu (Design Menu)
9735 or 6428 - Subsection Factory Menu
9705 - Subsection Service Menu
6405 - subsection Hotel Menu
6425 - Running Time..quick access to reset (Reset All and Reset Shop).
Exit: Go back button

All firmware is same for our QLED (V8-R851T02-LF1Vxxx) , just placed sometime on different server.

i used vpn and update latest core services.. after a day now im on new ui.. also upgraded tv firmware to v623.. feel lag a little bit

I had not really watch TV for the last 5-6 years.... maybe less than 1 hour per week...

My source of entertainment for that matter has always been my iMac and ipad... and phone....

When I subscribed to apple music, I want to link my music to my audio amplifier and story short... bought the apple tv and this TCL 65...

now I'm glued to this TV... watching netflix, youtube, listening to music... this is just different kind of experience...

What they meant is that for now the app is only available officially for new devices with Google TV.
Ex; Chromecast with Google TV, the upcoming new Sony TV & TCL TV with Google TV.

Currently, the app can be sideload to Android TV devices but only ads/trailer are playable not the content.

This Apple TV is only for selected Sony TV models with Android TV after an agreement between Sony & Apple.

Apple TV (Fire TV variant) 5.1 (18) - com.apple.atve.amazon.appletv
This app is only for Amazon devices.

I have tried all of this app on my Shield TV previously & none of these apps has worked.
I believe that Apple might have their own content protection requirement that need to be added at firmware level first.
