UPDATE...
as of my mouse and tablet pc function problems, I've collected my TX from waranty repair last week. They replaced (Again) the LCD panel and keyboard panel..So far, it worked like a charm and hopefully for many many years to come.

I was put off by this problem (they said it has got to something to do with the panel single hinge) but then I have to admit ....that their after sales service are top notch and really impressed me..They even called me last monday to enquire if the notebook is ok..

i bought it (TX1316AU) about 2 weeks ago at PC Fair Batu Pahat, Johor near my place.
it was 2999 but the guy said i can upgrade the RAM to 2GB for another rm70.
NO freebies.. well who wants freebies like 1gb pendrive or usb fan..
plus the xtended warranty (which i bought at another shop) is 199.
later i bought the Evercool exhaust fan which is 45
i think the total is 3314 or something

lucky ad2000 got his warranty for 179.

the oni consistent issue here is the touch panel sensitivity. most of us agree, the touch screen sucks. the finger print recog thingy is about the same with other HP model. My bro in-law have a HP laptop and he also have the same issue.

apart from that, i think any other brand also have issue. a long as HP is responsive I am fine. There is no 100% perfect product. the diff between a good brand and a bad one is how the brand deals with customer complaint and defects.

CD = 9 discs
1 layer DVD = 2 disc
2 layer DVD = 1 disc

All you gotta do is run the Recovery Manager application. It should be on your desktop. the icon is "Recovery Disc Creation" or Start - Programs - Recovery Manager - Recovery Disc Creation.

Just follow the instruction and you'll be OK.

actually you can just call their customer support..provide your TX serial number and you can purchase the extended warranty directly from HP..just like that..I enquired about it when i picked up my notebook, and they say as long as your notebook is still under warranty period , you can purchase the extended warranty offered.

by the way, my hometown is also BP....jalan jeragan to be precise tongue.gif

try this: open the stylus input panel >> tools >> option
>>click the opening tab
>>click on the "Tap the Input Panel Icon or the -------Panel"

instead of popping out when ur mouse pass over it, u need to tap it to roll into screen.

hope this helps.
