Hi,

My tx1221au have some intermittent wireless connection problem..when i was online for about 1.5 hours..suddenly this pc cant detect any wireless signal around..it will recover when i restart the pc..other PCs in the house dont have such problems..(others are XP)

Is it because of this Vista OS? Could somebody help?

regards

Get this one.... Cooler Master NotePal Infinite.

its rather expensive though... close to RM200 last i saw it at allIT Hypermarket. I notice that the TX is hot on the right side, both at the top and the place where all the stickers are. I gather that is where the HDD and CPU is located.

i saw in PC Fair there are cooling pad going for RM20 or so. the quality ain't appetizing enough. The NotePal Infinite is about the best i've seen so far with all round cooling.

never seen it before. how good is it? I mean... RM32 i dun mind trying. My TX runs at average 60++ degree C.

@ PC Fair i saw this sphere thing that you can attached to the base of your laptop. Lift the laptop up to allow for better circulation. Pretty expensive.

why is tx1316au running lower capacity than 1221au as 1316 is a newer version?

i always thought the max RAM is limited by OS version. Our Vista should manage 4GB RAM.

Charging the batt while on adapter does shorten the batt life. My company laptop batt can only last me less than 1 hr now and can hardly charge. the only issue is i alway forget that i dun hv batt so when i move place, i juz go plug out the power cable and demn....

yes,

due to hardware limitation, a 32bit os will only support up to 3.5gig even u slot in 4 gig ram...

with 64bit os (of cos with 64bit procs smile.gif ), then will only it support more than 4 gig ram...

no matter xp or vista...as both got 2 version, 32bit n 64bit...

i think ive explained it b4 in other thread wat is the diff....ask more at uncle google please! wink.gif

what do you mean by crackling???

get a laptop cooler. You can refer to this thread and this thread for some suggestion.

I personally prefer the CoolerMaster NotePal Infinite or Zalman ZM-NC1000. Get one with a aluminum base to dissipate the heat more efficient.
