Hi  ... I'm interested to apply to Digi Broadband due to I'm given up waiting for Unifi or Maxis come back to me due to no port available for the past 10 months. Which I check with Digi and it's say my area "available" for subscription.

May I know does Digi need to tied to 12 or 24mths contract. As I read thw T&C if we used our own router modem no contract needed.

Correct me if I'm wrong interpreting wrong on the tied down contract.

Thanks in advance for the reply.

if unifi and maxis said no port then digi also no port oso coz they use the same tm infra..

digi support is rather bad on this. You can't get anything through contacting them. You have to walk into a digistore to ask them to assist

I dont understand whats nice about this plan u are paying RM90 for 50mbps when unifi just RM99 for 100mbps?

Digi is renting TM line and getting almost 100% net profit out of it.

Different router may have different setup but here for TP Link :

1. Login to router.
2. Go to advance section, locate QoS setting.
3. Enable QoS, set you internet speed download upload.
4. Set your device according to your priority, which one you wanna give more speed and bandwidth.

For me with 100Mbps, every smartphone i set at 10% priority. Mi box s & laptop 30%

5. Save the setting and done.

Previously was using Maxis Fiber 30Mbps... average getting 20-25Mbps, early morning maybe achieving 30Mbps...

Their phone/chat CS is good, superior i can say... whereas Digi I hate their chatbot, nearly to useless....

I have already register for Digi Broadband, they will call me back within 2 workings days for the installation confirmation. Let's see whether I manage to install Digi broadband or otherwise. Will update again the outcome.

Digi can't proceed my installation because in the system , digi said my address stated "under Unifi Trial".. WTH Unifi.. Just because I terminated you, then you want sabotage me?

I even "overpaid" my last bill, because stupid autopay auto charge me RM500 (penalty that if Im not return the modem to TM).. I did return the modem next day after I see my last bill.. Now im pending to get back my money back from TM..

But bro with this plan, people can think twice, either pay RM89 for 30mbps or RM90 for 50mbps.

For all who plan to change ISP, don't terminate but use switching instead. If you terminate they will take some time to clear your address from system, last I heard it's 30 days. Switching is like MNP, thus ensuring your port is not taken.

It depends on usage. If just browse FB and stream Youtube/Netflix public or private IP doesn't matter.

Why do you accept a handicapped product when you can get fully functional product? Who knows, you might need it one day during 24months contract period. That includes certain games or torrent client software that need port forwarding.

smile.gif anyway, it is people choice, i should respect that.

Like that all mobile hotspot also handicap product, coz cannot portforwarding. Only Unifi consider not handicap product. Even Maxis have to request public IP, and they can also at anytime suka suka don't give ppl public IP next time.

Yeah, I know some people don't use port forwarding or they do not know what is port forwarding at all. Unifi may be bad for some people, but not to me. It is the only one with least problem.

Maxis also can. Call them to request public iP, they will give you. I dont like maxis's service when fibre line is down. You will taste it. I experienced the bad journey on both Individual fibre account and business account. I ended up breaking contracts for both. i paid RM500 for personal account to quit from them. I got waived RM5k penalty for business account because they admitted the problem.
