QUOTE(YoungMan @ Oct 26 2020, 08:51 PM) It depends on usage. If just browse FB and stream Youtube/Netflix public or private IP doesn't matter. Why do you accept a handicapped product when you can get fully functional product? Who knows, you might need it one day during 24months contract period. That includes certain games or torrent client software that need port forwarding. anyway, it is people choice, i should respect that. This post has been edited by mhwee: Oct 26 2020, 09:17 PM

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Oct 27 2020, 08:08 AM) Like that all mobile hotspot also handicap product, coz cannot portforwarding. Only Unifi consider not handicap product. Even Maxis have to request public IP, and they can also at anytime suka suka don't give ppl public IP next time. Yeah, I know some people don't use port forwarding or they do not know what is port forwarding at all. Unifi may be bad for some people, but not to me. It is the only one with least problem. QUOTE(michealelsie @ Oct 27 2020, 09:03 AM) aiks.. i might wanna try vpn, if that so means only bloody Unifi... Maxis also can. Call them to request public iP, they will give you. I dont like maxis's service when fibre line is down. You will taste it. I experienced the bad journey on both Individual fibre account and business account. I ended up breaking contracts for both. i paid RM500 for personal account to quit from them. I got waived RM5k penalty for business account because they admitted the problem. QUOTE(YoungMan @ Nov 13 2020, 08:36 PM) Similarly when I enquire about Maxis, they also said not possible to maintain both. Must switch. I had last time, having both unifi and maxis at the same time, residential house. From the BTU unit, different ports come out

Hi Digi fibre user,
Is digi giving us public ip? for example , cctv port forwarding?
i just got an answer from digi helpline. Their answer is yes. I hope to get user feedback here. Thanks
----------------------------------- just got answer from a recently signed up user. Digi gives out Private (internal) addresses like 172.xxx (router external ip) and their external ip if check from myip website is 115.xxx
So it is not a public ip ,for your info
