For all who plan to change ISP, don't terminate but use switching instead. If you terminate they will take some time to clear your address from system, last I heard it's 30 days. Switching is like MNP, thus ensuring your port is not taken.
bro since several times you replied to my post already.. I did use "switching" method. Ok my case cronology is like this:
- early sept, I declare interest to Maxis fiber.. speak long time with maxis.. asking them to check if my port/ existing unifi can support 300Mbps that I plan to install. I said my fiber and modem havent change since I install Unifi in 2011.
So I requested all new installation. Maxis said dont worry, my area/ my modem etc can support up to 800Mbps.. they checked already.. also I will not have any downtime for internet, Unifi only will be terminated once Maxis
successfully installed.. ok fine.
- fill the form and Maxis generate transfer req ID..maxis ask to walk in to any TM point to show them the transfer ID req..
- walk in to TM point @menara TM at 9/9/2020.. Im cleared to port out to Maxis.. need cool down of period 10 days.
- 18/9/2020. Maxis wassap their guy will come on 19/9 to install the fiber.
- 19/9/2020, Maxis guy come. He carry with him the TP-Link router. when he see my modem (black color old huawei modem), he already geleng kepala.. said "sebelum ni saya dah banyak kali try modem ni, memang max 100Mbps je"
- I said donno, already ask Maxis.. several times, they already check my existing modem and fiber and modem can support up to 800Mbps..
- The guy speed with the support..bla2 bla2.......... he try to configure the modem.. tested 100Mbps only..
- He loged a report... in the report he request to change entire fiber from pole to my house also replace a new modem (fxxk fxxk I already request this from beginning but they denied it)
- I ask what is my status now? The guy said, my account I still under Unifi.
- 21/9 Maxis called, they said need to wait 7-14 until I get a new modem and fiber installed. I said i dont want to wait.. I want to cancel my order.
- 26/9 during my holiday at hometown, got mesej my Unifi acc is terminated (Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?????)..
- back from holiday, Im not straight away go to TM point. stuck with work at daytime.. meanwhile I declare interest with Celcom fiber.. celcom fiber replied my area no port anymore.
- 2/10. I went to TM Point @MenaraTM to ask why terminate my acc before I sucessfully port to other ISP?.. The CS said "what? I thought Maxis already come to my house at 19/9 to installed already".. I said yes they came but my modem not support 300Mps..Need to wait.
- I said nevermind, I interested in celcom but they said no port. The CS lady checked the system, she show me my area still got 3 ports. She "menyamar" and called Celcom fiber.. Mentioning interested in Celcom fiber but no port. Can check again? She give my address.. Celcom said sorry, we checked no port in the area. Then she mention that she is TM CS, calling from Menara Telekom, and she already check my area still have 3 ports. The celcom kelam kabut and check again. Suddenly celcom said, ok I can anytime to Celcom Bluecube and Celcom HQ to register.
- at night I see Digi promotion.. before this i know Digi use TIME infra only.. when I know they also use TM infra, so I register to 500Mbps package.
- I cancel to walk in to Celcom. waiting for Digi to reply.
- Digi replied in their system, my address status is "pending installation" from another ISP.. so I know Maxis still havent cancel my order.
- 7/10, called maxis. They apologies that my modem still not arrived. I said bullsheet..please cancel my order. Maxis pujuk2 I said go to hell.. Then they agreed to cancel my order.
- Busy with work and vacation. I re-applied Digi fiber. 20/10 the Digi CS called me, said they cant install because my address and my name already have Unifi.. whattttttt???? I ask digi to double check.
- 25/10. Digi CS called me again to update, said in their system, my address already have "Unifi trial package".. whattttt???? They cant proceed with my order.
- called TM support, wait 30+mins also cant speak to CS.. called again today also not succesfully.
- contact them thru FB, I maki them a bit why sabotage me? why digi said I still have acc with unifi. Unifi reply

anyway Im using unifi air with B818 263 atm.. If nobody can install fiber at my home then I keep using Unifi air la..
