I think it is not worthwhile getting this Digi Fibre Broadband because the upload speed is not even half of the download speed.
At least with Maxis Fibre Broadband, you get a similar upload speed as download speed. |

If the Unifi 30Mbps fibre broadband has an upload speed of only 10Mbps, which is only 1/3 of the download speed, then it's not okay for many users, if not most users.

QUOTE(judehow @ Feb 21 2021, 10:58 PM) Think to change from Maxis fiber 30 mbps to Digi 50 mbps what do you think guys?after my contract ended I also want to consider switching soon. Maxis is getting bad these days.Very lousy European routes and expensive also. They also becoming very rude and unhelpful. Early termination contract also now following TM's unscrupulous method of imposing full remaining months penalty. Problem is DiGi peering arrangement is 45% TM, European link seems good with Telia and Cogent. They also have NTT America among their top 5 upstream provider. ![]() Which region server you usually connect to? This post has been edited by Candy12: Feb 22 2021, 12:44 AM |

QUOTE(pikacu @ Feb 24 2021, 02:58 PM) Ok because he said the peering is different.Maybe i thought the ping and throughput for certain peering locations are different For example when gaming with different friends, the ping is noticeably different to certain locations - sometimes maxis better ping, sometimes worse as compared to unifi |

QUOTE(heLL_bOy @ Feb 24 2021, 03:26 PM) from my observation Second that! maxis/celcom good for asia celcom good for EU celcom/maxis to US both are almost same. digi are similiar to TM routing. but digi relay less on their ip transit they having so there not much different as TM. Celcom has ONE major advantage over the others! They have China Mobile as one of its Top 3 upstream provider besides GTT and VNPT?? They also have NTT America in the mix. Among all ISPs now they offer the best value router which is the TP-Link WiFi 6 AX10 router? Their early termination policy is the most fair among all competition! RM500 one-off penalty! Downgrade from higher plan to lower only incur RM30 one time service charge while contract is still ongoing(NO RESET). Upgrade is FREE. Celcom deal looks WAYYY better than DiGi's. |
