if we only activate the cashback card, and don't activate the rewards card, SST won't be charged for rewards card? ChiaW3n liked this post

supposed if we don't activate the rewards card at all despite the sst auto waiver, i don't think they can charge the SST next year right?

If Duo MasterCard is terminated by the system automatically, will Duo Visa be still functioning well? will keep an eye on it and update here |

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Apr 17 2021, 05:57 PM) Anyone got any experience appealing against the finance charges and late charges? I missed the payment due date for first statement until they sent SMS and I immediately paid. call their cust service request for waiver.if reject, escalate to customer resolution unit. if still reject, request CSU to write a black and white letter to you stating their final decision, tell CSU you will refer to BNM. if to this point CSU still write you a letter, use that letter proceed to OFS This post has been edited by sjz: Apr 17 2021, 07:00 PM |

QUOTE(!@#$%^ @ Apr 22 2021, 06:16 PM) suspect tng do it intentionally.so less people will do tng reload -> Go+ -> withdraw to bank route to reap CC cash back. and incur tng transaction charge to provider. however, if no CB this round for tng, probably need to complaint to Affin cust service and they will investigate , probably adjust manually. still rmb the same issue during initial phase of Affin BHP cash back This post has been edited by sjz: Apr 22 2021, 06:25 PM |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 27 2021, 10:44 AM) My friend from TnG e-Wallet has responded to me after speaking to their internal relevant team, they are now aware of the MCC issue after I reported (with the help from you guys) and will look into this issue. Hopefully some good news for us later. Fingers crossed. thanks for the inputso far PBB and RHB no issue in getting CB if using MANUAL key in card details with OTP. Affin still need to wait user confirm using statement. |

3% cash back on e-Commerce / online, e-Wallet and auto-billing transactions. Cash back is capped at RM80 per month with the following conditions :
RM80 for Cardmembers with outstanding balance RM3,000 and above RM50 for Cardmembers with outstanding balance below RM3,000 i feel that some of you had over complicated things. obviously the outstanding balance means statement balance. mean your statement balance >3k your cb cap RM80. if below 3k your cb cap RM50 REGARDLESS you are a transactor or revolver. QUOTE(fruitie @ May 18 2021, 10:10 AM) I noticed I haven't been using my Duo that much in the recent statement cycle. yup.I saw posts mentioning spend RM 1667 and get RM 50 right? Still not too bad. Otherwise, which card still gives cash back for insurance auto-debit besides SCB JOP or MBB FCB VS? Looks like I have no other option but to stick with Duo for insurance auto-debit. as well as keep the statement cycle usage below RM1667, there is no significant changes. |

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ May 18 2021, 11:06 AM) Let's say for the previous month you got RM80 cashback and you spend exactly RM3000. outstanding balance can means either balance before or after deduct of cb from statement since they deduct the cb directly at the end of every statement.Do you think your statement balance is RM3000? Or RM2920? If based on statement balance then effectively you have to spend RM3080 per statement to be eligible. I do not know any other bank which practices it this way though. And this isn't even considering refunds of AF/SST or what not (or whether AF/SST are included in the 3000 since they do appear on statement). I would guess that it's just simple RM3000 spending per statement. Or more complicated a bit, highest outstanding balance in the system was 3000 in the statement month (this one maybe can manipulate a bit, so I don't think so). so, for the time being 3080 to be safe until someone proven their method. for me, i will just go for 1667 for RM50 cb. as the effective cb % will reduce from 3% to 2.67%(RM3k) or 2.6% (RM3.08k) QUOTE(akkaz @ May 18 2021, 12:34 PM) probably park your money elsewhere and pay after statement come out.you could benefit by getting some tiny interest on your money too. QUOTE(yjackz @ May 18 2021, 02:19 PM) I am not an Affin credit card user, but based on my other credit card statements, some banks would state the total credit limit used for the particular month in addition to the statement balance (e.g. HSBC and Maybank). While others, only state the statement balance (e.g. RHB and SCB). what does you imply here?HSBC - Total Credit Limit used RM XXX.XX (this is the total amount used regardless if u repay immediately like as if a debit card (@akkaz) or receive cash back/refund/reversal) - Your Statement balance RM XXX.XX (the statement balance) Maybank - Total Debit this month RM XXX.XX (this is the total amount used regardless if u pay like a debit card (@akkaz) or receive cash back/refund/reversal) - Sub Total (Statement balance) RM XXX.XX RHB - Closing Balance / Total Outstanding Balance (cards) RM XXX.XX (all in, including ur prompt payment like a debit card (@akkaz), CB/refund/reversal) SCB - New Balance RM XXX.XX (all in, including ur prompt payment like a debit card (@akkaz), CB/refund/reversal) |

QUOTE(yjackz @ May 18 2021, 05:10 PM) If Affin statement is similar to RHB/SCB, then 3000 is the statement balance. So may not get CB if use and pay immediately before statement sate as per @akkaz yup..it could be the case as affin deduct the cb directly at the end of statement. nobody can tell at this juncture |

QUOTE(Cookie101 @ May 19 2021, 12:37 PM) if you don't understand don't try to act smart and mislead others.could you at least read back previous comment first QUOTE(Cookie101 @ May 19 2021, 01:11 PM) Aware of ambank carz card? The same method. While for this card you mention. And not everyone pays their outstanding in full, it's a joy for min payment or those doing partial- leaving 3k / unable to pay in full and at the same time gives them 'better' cashback. Banks like them more. Don't think they will be so nice otherwise many will just take up their 0% BT to have "outstanding" I believe T&C had stated expressly and clearly categorize between TRANSACTOR and REVOLVER, am i right? so i don't think you can assume they are the same This post has been edited by sjz: May 19 2021, 04:18 PM |
