Hi All,

I would like to double confirm on the SST payment, January 2024 is the renewal and SST charges and upon receiving the statement, I had requested for card cancellation at the branch. There's no any other transaction or usage 1 month before SST charged and also the SST charged.

Am I still require to pay the SST before the cancellation?

Now they have charged me for late payment + interest in February 2024 statement even though cancellation submission was done 3-4 weeks ago

2) cancellation submission does not mean actual processing of card cancellation. you should've followup diligently to ensure card is cancelled in timely manner, not "hope".

3) sst and/or fees may be waived if bank felt the fault is with them. again, you haven't even contacted them quickly to dispute this!

call them tomorrow, explain the situation, request nicely to waive the sst/fees due to cancellation was DELAYED by the bank branch on xxxxxxx. CS would file this as a report for investigation and follow-up.

I went to the branch and then the counter lady called to CS, and passed over the phone to me and after that I was informed to on the cancellation submission and the CS spoke back with the counter lady. Then I was told I can leave.

This is the first time I have encountered such incident, previously had no issue with other banks in performing credit card cancellation at branches.

I have called them twice now, the first time when I received the sms of overdue and they replied with expedite the process, and few days later received new statement of late payment interest.

For the second call, the CS informed me the SST is for the charge using the CC in 2023, that's why I need to pay for it but I told her it is not, and she said will check with the specialist team and will inform the Business Unit to expedite on the cancellation again.

There's 4 steps to cancel affin CC, and apparently it is just been staying at step 2 without anyone taking action/processing it

Just contact call center or via FB directly. Don't waste time with branch.

Can I confirm that Spotify and Netflix auto debit is entitled to the 3% cashback? I search through the historical post and there isn't any report that says it is not entitled, hence should be entitled?

nobody shared, possibly due to

1) nobody tried, or
2) nobody reported

however, if you ever opened Affin Duo FAQ, the answers already specified in there.

jan month, my 2 transaction for zct and and tnb no recieve cash back, anyone same? also i cannot get the statement from the app, there is no attachement as prevous month?

no issue to download estatements from affin web portal.

also received email estatements few days ago.

I'm so slow to find out that Affin has an app now that can be used to check CC transactions. doh.gif But it is a buggy app on iOS, keep asking to activate TAC something every time I login.
