Hi,

Would like to know why I'm getting cashback of RM50 instead of RM80 since i spend 3084 from 22 Feb-21 Mar? Statement date is every 22 of the month.

Your previous statement balance is less than RM3000.

is the cashback given based on statement cycle or calendar month? if i count my spend from 22 Feb to 19 Mar, total spend is 3084 but the total spend from 1 Mar to 19 Mar is 2634 (before minusing rebate of 50) . still a bit confused how the cashback is calculated.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Mar 23 2022, 03:38 PM)
your previous statement balance < RM3k

so, this month's cb is capped to RM50 only
and, this month's statement balance is also <RM3k, then your next month's cb is capped to RM50 as well

check YOUR PREVIOUS BALANCE, if < RM3k then max cb for current month is RM50, if >= RM3k then can get 3% max RM80
YOUR NEW BALANCE will be your next statement YOUR PREVIOUS BALANCE to determine whether you can get RM50 or RM80 for next statement

Actually this "previous statement thing" is a headache to most people.
We really have to track our spending including reversal if we are expecting any. We don't necessarily know when the reversal will be credited.

Is it really that much of a headache tho?
If havent paid off previous statement amount, spending this cycle is Balance - previous statement amount.
If paid off previous statement amount, balance is amount spent this cycle.
Dont know about others, but I don't expect reversals on a monthly basis.

they are very strict.
don't think any sort of waiver of SST is possible apart from tell them to cancel the card and keep your finger crossed for the anti attrition cb of RM25

I canceled my vs and bhpetrol card in different timing
They also not offer sst loyalty cashback despite the reason was due to SST

Earlier someone shared about 0% installment for 12 months, coincidentally I had a big amount to swipe a few days ago. Once it is posted on my transactions list, I called Affin CS to convert it to 0% installment, easy peasy process. I will only know when the first installment is posted on the statement, she said hardly it will have unsuccessful case. laugh.gif

Hi, planning to sign up the Visa for ewallet CB. Checked Ringgiplus and Comparehero but seems that there's no signup promo.

May i know so far has anyone come across any new to bank sign up promos for Affin cc?
