Was considering also but at this stage of life and the next 3-5 years, I won’t need a larger sized vehicle yet. So I’m okay for the X50.Proton X50 2020 v1, B-Segment killer

Proton already come out with the statement today. Setia gemilang dealer also already say optional, not compulsory. Like I said yesterday, dont simply listen to strangers. Lots of keyboard warriors in online forums. Don't believe me? Go find out yourself at Setia Gemilang & place your booking. Any of your SA force you to take, well then you should know they are not serving at your best interest.
Dear Bussiness partners, with regards to memo dated 24th Oct 2020 on X50 STOCK ALLOCATION POLICY & X50 ACCESSORY PACKAGES under item 3. OPTIONAL ACCESSORY PACKAGE > no force for customer to take, sa can offer the package to customer if they want the package >in the event cust agreeable on such package, the accessory package can be embedded into their hire purchase loan application. |

QUOTE(Ernest90 @ Oct 28 2020, 02:08 PM) No need lor. In 30 years the x50 might be just another proton. Civic in the other hand(if you lucky) will be a legendary japanese car, probably collector item. And looking at the next gen civic, this ketam is damn nicer. Its like how the fb was so poor making the fd much more famous today. |

Just went to showroom to have a test drive.
Pros, the car interior really doesn’t feel like a Proton. The screen really gives the impression that the car is way more expensive. Engine was quick and can feel the torque when you floor it. Cons, the side cameras are definitely noticeably ‘blur’. It’s not HD but it’s alright, too used to using my side mirrors and didn’t notice the ‘Lanewatch’-ish feature that appeared on screen. Reverse camera was fine and clearer. QC wise, there were 3 units on display and 2 for test drive but the chrome trim misalignment wasn’t there or really isn’t noticeable. Colour wise, Red is not pleasing to my eyes... it looks very cheap... but some people like red ah well. Orange looks like Renault orange which may appeal to some. Grey looks like X70 grey aka air longkang colour to me. Silver was okay actually and can see it being a big seller for non-Flagship models. No white on display. |

I remember watching a wapcar video on the Binyue, the presenter mentioned that the car in "D" mode will not move unless you press the accelerator? As for the colours, I can imagine what the red will look like but I think the orange is easier on the eyes. The blue is probably like the Iriz blue. The dual tone white-black remains the nicest colour IMHO, always ogling when I see Volvo XC40 or Range Rover Evoque with that paintjob |

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Oct 28 2020, 04:24 PM) Nice review! Hmmm, mine moved in D mode, but not as quick as my current 2.0L car.I remember watching a wapcar video on the Binyue, the presenter mentioned that the car in "D" mode will not move unless you press the accelerator? Yes bro... red looks good in photos but in real life, something about the finish doesn't look good. Orange definitely a crowd pleaser like on Renaults, but this time on a Proton Blue identical to Iriz blue as per my SA. Didn't see the white there but yeah, that white/black paint job will look good |
