Hey guys, mine is now 2.5yrs ~38K mileage. So far so good except 1x battery replacement, and driveshaft noise..

Two questions
1. What is the conclusion on next tyres replacement? Went to shop in Ampang Jaya and they quoted RM760/pc for Primacy 4 but I'm aiming PS4S
2. where to do alignment & balancing around Ampang/KL Cheras area? Lowest quote I got was RM85 for alignment and balancing..

Thanks
*
Tyre replacement subject to usage and requirements. I changed from C UC6 to M Primacy 4 ST at 70,000 km, as 3 years anniversary present to my car lol.

Thread was still ok, but I still changed them as UC6 wet grip was not so good, sometimes minor skid at toll road paint marking (smart tag / rfid / tng). Bought them at average RM 490/pc. So far quite satisfied with its performance but that's just my personal opinion.

Hi guys - seems consensus is ~50-70,000km still ok so I will delay..

Actually my thread depth is still good, maybe can use for another 6months.. Just feel like I need to start searching for one soon so starting early.

Re. alignment & balancing, got another quote for RM85 today.. guess that's the base rate in KV now..

Thanks!!

Had UC6 when bought x70 ckd last time,1st week of it noted this junk brand and model on wet. But still use it b4 changed, so use it till 50k km. Pro of this tyre is due to quiet, but cons on dry and wet. Wet grip is too poor until need to really slow down the car much during rain vs other tyre.

Only YouTubers praise this Continental tyres too much cz they got free tyre from them. MC6 later also people complaint on wet, I believe the latest UC7, MC7 will get same issue - poor wet traction.

So far, I've been using UC6 (2021) on HRV with no issues with grip, especially when it's raining. Maybe it's because X70 has taller and taller side walls? But my only complaint is the road sound; it's getting louder.

CC6 Yea, allot of people say traction not good as its built for comfort.

If it is due to suspension both dry and wet are affected. Drove straight on wet at 60kmh - 70kmh also skidding at highway which other tyre brand (now) is not. Sorry no more Continental for me

Rubber price up is good for our country. But again tyre use synthetic rubber made hence not really affect major in price. Now China Tyre also saturated in our market at affordable price for their UHP. So good for consumer.

In short, if wanna change tyre, try getting quotation at Oscar Bukit kemuning instead

For used car, if no spare key & service booklet.

I consider that as a red flag.

Anyway, willing seller willing buyer

Hoping someone here can help me verify, my x50 is an executive version, when cornering at higher speed like 90km/h, it'll make a sound that's like abs and i can feel the car being pulled back then followed by the klook sound near the brake/gas pedal (the sound that a lot of people hear during icc). Brought my car to check and proton told me its normal and its a safety feature and what i was experiencing comes from the"motor brake pump", is it true?

Just show the apps to the SA and push him to follow that by Proton. Hate to see many owner pay premium and extra for unnecessary things. 10k km on X70 Ckd SA put rm80+ for engine tuning, ffs. If that tuning can put the torque from 300nm to 350nm, I will do it.

Another unnecessary at SC, brakepad cz wear and tear no warranty by Proton, cz wear and tear, similar to tyre. Aircond service (SC money pit, again no recommendations by Proton) for rm200 yet to include ac filter for how many ringgit extra, well outside workshop with AC flushing machine at rm99 nowadays

Here is the link for easier script if you decide to test the apks and removing the apks.

Do note it is still beta.
So it might not do anything. So please read the instructions.txt file before using it, I not responsible for your own fault.

Edited 15-Apr, link earlier removed as it failed to run. Here is the new beta tested by me.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ghT-a_09Yn...ew?usp=drivesdk

fixed one of the incorrect script filename.

Basically, what it does :-
(1) installing own prepared apks+optimization  - >when detected your car music volume level not 0.
(2) remove/uninstall the apk listed in installation.hutroops.txt + optimization -> when detected your car music volume level is 0.

Don't use if you are not sure, this mean for more advance users.

Edited 12-Apr,
Forgotten I have a simpler script written early.
You can use this instead, just extract the contents under 1-uninstall to the root of usbdrive. It specifically removing NovaLuncher and Newpipe. Note:- to work with Xeon1989 method only.

is that the script filename has to be changed once changed something in the scripts? i tried to make some modifications to the scripts but ended up the scripts don't want to execute at all, not just the part i modified.

how can i generate the correct scripts filename to make it work?
