just went and tested the X50, very satisfied with the NVH and while driving at high speed 110/120, wind noise barely noticeable , maybe slightly. now i am at the junction of choosing between Honda city or X50. Honda city got more stuff but then the tyre noise really unbearable. the car only run 600km + and the tyre is Proxes R57.

overall X50 got more premium driving feel as compare to honda city
and yes the door of X50 when closed was very very solid

Most of the time you already have answer in your mind the pros and cons between City and X50.

in my opinion X50 huge upgrade over City

But City will have better public acceptance than X50
And City will have bigger boot space, interior space should be around X50 or bigger

If you want to experience tech, Power, SUV and premium, get X50

If you want good FC, better public perception, big boot, get the City.

I review and check across the thread.

The FC for X50 for city drive ( jam and go ) had around 10km/l

The FC for City for city drive ( jam and go ) had around 12km/l

it is 20% difference, so if you pump RM 350 per month for Honda city, it will cost you extra RM 70 for X50, let's put in extra a bit to additional RM 100 per month fuel cost to own a X50

So for the enjoyable and premium driving exp, you pay extra. Worth it or not, it really up to individual personal perspective.

Note : I heard there will be facelift for X50, perhaps i shall wait and see

no offense, jam and go, x50 cant get 10km/L believe me, thats number too optimistic maybe too perfect to daily achieve u
i daily round trip work like 80km+go out cari makan be like 1~3km(pusing pusing+traffic light),
the number only 11KM/L+-. ofc i got press while cruising.
but also, when i go cross state, i got few time 500KM+ with like 40~42L fuel. like 13KM/L level maybe more
because if FC is the primary objective...X50 shouldnt show up on wishlist...
user posted image

but yes, if you minded like me, pay extra 10~20 each petrol session when switching from Almera (avg 12~13KM/L, able to reach 14~15 optimally)

bro, your FC for this 10-11 km per liter is meant for city drive ( jam and go ) situation

well this is inline with what i had observe so far from X50 member

because this can't be highway FC figure, I saw the FC for highway can hit 14-16 km per litre

nope. 40km one trip 40~50min, with 20+ cruising on interstate road another 10+ with traffic light.
so call 14-16 on highway actually super light on foot or using cruise control to maintain the speed

Highway FC is only better if you dont have heavy foot lol

If you let it auto cruise 120kmph or less. Keep the revolution under 3k and eco mode.

Honestly highway i never light foot. Its 200kmph lol. FC isny my main concern anyway. Although on the other hand comfort can also be questioned. As im a tall feller. 186cm. My thigh do get tiring. But i enjoy the ergonomics. I dont have to sit down into the car. Or "get up" out of the car. I sit higher than my city or es. I get e brake and those tech which when i switch back to those cars or say cross. Why tf they dont give is appalling. But all in all. You already have it roughly and your subconcious tells you why youre here lol

For X50 if FC is one of your top 3 concern is better you stay out of it especially if you heavily involved in city drive.
The urge to press the pedal is there, u bought the car with such power feel a bit waste to keep controlling your foot utilizing only small part of the power it can provide.

Highway drive it really can sip acceptable level of fuel if you drive within speed limit.

my FC can range from 6km/L in city to 14km/L in highway because I live in hilly area with 2km drive per trip at <30km/h speed, but that itself I only fuel up like twice a month at total cost <RM150 per month so the FC doesn't concern me

Trunk road aggressive drive from KL to Kota Bharu got me about 13km/L, 5 hours journey with lots of Sport mode pedal to floor overtaking.

If fuel consumption is a concern, better don't drive SUV.
Better look for hybrid car or diesel.
SUV is heavy. Look for light weight cars.

Highway, Nilai to Kuala Perlis, 550km ish on 1 tank.

City drive....i lazy to be so calculative already... the power is addictive and its a comfortable cabin with nice driving position for me.. so i dont mind the cost... also most of the time stuck in jam, just on ICC and chill..

As per others la, if FC is in your top priorities, dont look at x50... same engine in S70 right? Maybe that FC is better since its a lighter car?

Inside the X50, X70 group got owner who comes from Vios, City, Myvi which all power are much less, NA form, CVT gb, where they complaint heavy FC. These 3, especially the lower Hp make it more fuel efficient.

Slot in Turbo in small displacement turbocharge engine, the window for better FC is smaller than say similar Hp engine but NA. SUV size plus weight also play big part for heavy fuel. If wanna best FC daily drive, take smaller car with NA engine
