i have installed xeon’s 1st ver script back in feb. now i see got update for Optimization. if i want to install this one do i need to uninstall the old one first or can simply run this new script?

Basically, what it does :-
(1) installing own prepared apks+optimization - >when detected your car music volume level not 0.
(2) remove/uninstall the apk listed in installation.hutroops.txt + optimization -> when detected your car music volume level is 0.

Don't use if you are not sure, this mean for more advance users.

Forgotten I have a simpler script written early.
You can use this instead, just extract the contents under 1-uninstall to the root of usbdrive. It specifically removing NovaLuncher and Newpipe. Note:- to work with Xeon1989 method only.

You can simply run the optimization script on the top of your current installation.

I got a question here.
Does less apps in your Head Unit helps to reduce the lagginess of Atlas?
I have lots of unused apps such as Disney/Netflix/Joox
If yes, is there a way to uninstall them without script?

Since I don't launch these apps, does it consume the HeadUnit processor/memory? Or just taking up storage?

Is the apps - Disney/Netflix Installed using silentshadow88 method? If yes, you need to remove using back his method.

His method got slightly different from xeon1989, abit more risky and removing or installing wrong file/apks could resolved in boot loop.

Send my car to service center today, to skim my brake disc *haiz my car not even one years old*

Send in since morning only received call by 5pm for pick up and I was told my battery is getting weak ask to get it replace at another center because battery stock nowadays is like a hotcake oos everywhere. You guess what! my car immediately die at the sc, can’t even start! But good also lah, at least die at the sc itself so I don’t need to toll it back. Good boy! Die at the correct timing just save me from tonnes of hassle.

I have witness on sc site, staff who on the aircon while engine off. Luckily not my car, and I never return to that sc although it is closest to my home. I choose 4* sc now.

do you guys stay on the car awhile to listen to music after off the engine? the HU is still playing before open the driver door. I am not sure if i really turn off my car correctly.

Does it help to improve the lagginess/slowness on the head unit by removing the apps? As I did not launch/opened them when I start the car.

Based on my understanding, if we do not launch the apps on our phone it will not take any resources. I believe it will be the same for the HeadUnit.

Technically it should not, but some apps will run in the background even though you didn't open.
Additionally, if you IHU running out of space also will cause issues.
