Hi all.
Is there a difference for Rm600 DSP that doesn't support Bluetooth compared with paying double for Bluetooth support?

As my phone will connect to HU with Bluetooth.
Thus the HU will send sound to DSP to processed before sending to Speaker correct?
In that case getting a DSP with Bluetooth support makes no difference??

I read from this forum, this seems a better way if I want to have control from steering and also retain other notification sounds from HU. As connecting direct to DSP will disable all above.

I am using Audxeon D1680. It has bluetooth but it is not able to play for both source at the same time. ie HU + direct bluetooth. Maybe some more expensive DSP can play both inputs simultaneously.

For me I connect my phone direct to the DSP's bluetooth as the quality is miles better than going through HU.

To control volume/next track, you can press volume button of your phone, OK Google Hey Siri, control from smartwatch or get a small bluetooth remote control and stick it somewhere convenient.

Only sounds you will lose is parking sensors beep and auto parking bell sounds. Other warning sounds are not from HU and will continue to work.

Which model are you looking at? Seems quite expensive.

Thanks for your explanation.
I am willing to sacrifice the quality a bit but prefer to connect to HU so I can get all the music plus sounds from HU.

I am comparing MeiYin DSP
RM700
7 Band in Equaliser
Doesn't support Bluetooth

Or

TPR DSP RM1300
31 Band in Equaliser
Support Bluetooth connection

Wanna know apart from the quality difference, if I am able to benefits from the Bluetooth feature for my use case (connect to HU)

Any recommendation for shop that sell Audxeon DSP plus installation in Klang valley?

Does the x50fs Stock audio quality sounds better than x50s standard?
I am just wondering if there is a huge difference to spent over rm1k on the upgrade

Hi all.
Previously I understand only GKUI able to have Android Auto/ACC. Recently with the new latest Atlas OS updates, it is possible to load Android Auto/ACC as well???

Is this available in GitHub??

Lets say you updated to latest Atlas OS now.
Is there a way to prevent "auto Update" in the future?

Hi peeps
Been missing out this for forum quite sometime
I just updated my car to ATLAS version 617 today

Then i saw there is a note from https://github.com/xeon1989/Proton-X50-APK-...nIkLIFr4UO7Aohw

ACO patched it in latest Firmware version. If you updated to ATLAS version 617 / 618 from 2-Mar-2023 onwards, most probably this won't works for you. There are no way to install app at the moment.

This steps seems easier but will it still works if for latest firmware downloaded on 8th of March 2023?

Will not work if you downloaded and updated to version 617/618 after 2-March.

As for the steps, are you referring to advance method which for installing own choice of app? This is also for those updated before 2-Mar.

Meanings this advance method also will not works for me?

Yes, if you buddy enough with SC maybe and just maybe they can manually update the previous 617/618 for u.
Yupe.
Same way as version 581/582 removed, but this time seem like in a rush, the version didn't change from 617/618.
*
Mucheon,
I use OTA to update to latest 617
Meanings i can reset to factory
And then there is a "possibility" SC can manually update to 617 (pre 2nd March update) for me?

Hi sifus
I would like to ask for those using Android Auto Wireless daily
How long do you guys spent to setup, everytime you start the car?

Any step below that can be shorten ?

1. Start Engine and wait around 15 sec (For Proton HU to start)
2. Click Setting
3. Connect
4. Wireless Network
5. Turn on Hot Spot (From Phone)
6. Choose Phone Hotspot (From HU)
7. Click Android Auto

Is there a way to set HU to always look for Phone Hotspot if available?

You may automate some steps. I uses Tasker to shorten steps 2-6.
Preparation (setup once only):
1. Add script in Tasker to start Hotspot whenever Bluetooth to "PROTON" connected
2. Connect BT on phone so that next time when IHU started, it auto connects to IHU.
3. On IHU, turn on Wireless network and connect to phone's hotspot.

After set up completed, you just need to:
1. Start engine and let IHU starts. (Phone should auto connect to IHU's BT, then phone auto turn on hotspot. IHU auto connect to hotspot since it remember the password.)
2. Open Media app on IHU (to enable steering control)
3. Plug in USB cable to start AA. (If you prefer AA wireless, replace this step with opening AA app on IHU).

Thanks Xeon

I got a question here.
Does less apps in your Head Unit helps to reduce the lagginess of Atlas?
I have lots of unused apps such as Disney/Netflix/Joox
If yes, is there a way to uninstall them without script?

Since I don't launch these apps, does it consume the HeadUnit processor/memory? Or just taking up storage?

Is the apps - Disney/Netflix Installed using silentshadow88 method? If yes, you need to remove using back his method.

His method got slightly different from xeon1989, abit more risky and removing or installing wrong file/apks could resolved in boot loop.

Best that you read the details on his GitHub.
https://github.com/silentshadow88/PX50EntApp
Link to the Instructions for removal also there.

For xeon1989 GitHub, you can refer to

Thanks muncheno,
Does it help to improve the lagginess/slowness on the head unit by removing the apps? As I did not launch/opened them when I start the car.

Based on my understanding, if we do not launch the apps on our phone it will not take any resources. I believe it will be the same for the HeadUnit.

Technically it should not, but some apps will run in the background even though you didn't open.
Additionally, if you IHU running out of space also will cause issues.

For optimization, you can also consider the optimization script from Xeon1989 GitHub.

Thanks Muncheno,

How do we "kill" apps properly that was already running so that it doesn't take up the resources.
Says i launch a Netflix app but decided to close it to free up the resources.
