I think this is due to poor transmission design. Transmission on this vehicle is Geely inhouse design. It struggles against HRV with 40hp less!

Yeah I also wished for many things, nappa leather, passenger electric seat, built in dashcam & many other things but I guess can't have it all la. Hopefully the price will remain attractive to justify all the missing things, at least the standard variant didn't come with a manual handbrake So much nitpicking, for 10 things to nitpick about x50 I am sure we can find 20 things of other brands but we are better than that so we will not go that direction. Let the car sell for itself, definitely will be best selling car in 2021

Just for infor sharing about the City iMMD technology which is nothing new as Toyota Prius C already has this piece of tech way back in 2012. Think Honda is late to this tech.

honda immd dont do that, the engine only powered the car if you drive more than 100
below that motor alone powering the car, engine just for charging

Actually I'm considering city too but end up booked the x50. But looking at the silver city from launch yesterday very tempted now

X50 have many plus point
the power
the look
the newer tech
but too bad some issue with design meant is not elder friendly

the rear door /seat of x50 have this particular shape that make harder for people to get out of the car
couple with a small door , this is a huge no no if you have elderly passenger
