Good evening dear sifu2 sekalian. Ada tak yang dah pasang dashcam dalam Proton X50, and wiring dia cantik, tak exposed?

TQ.

Dah, you need good sifu to ensure good wiring works so it is not visible

Just think about the deadline 30/6/21. Will be tough enough for Proton to fulfill the bookings until end of Oct 20.

Nov need to be lucky, Dec probably can give up already.

I doubt proton can clear sept booking by June....

they really dropped the ball with this. i've always maintained that they released this X50 6 months - 12 months later than they should, and now they are paying the ultimate price by releasing it in an awkward time in between 2 MCO and can't fulfill the orders. PR disaster for them.

Lets see if Perodua's SUV faces similar issues

Just got mine 2 days ago, flagship booked on 16 September. Apparently got it faster cos the guy in front of me wanted to choose number plate lol.

So far so good, but can't use proton link yet cos number is not recognised -i think SA didn't register yet.

Problem with Proton HQ system.
I only got my proton link running after 1 week plus.

Make sure your receive the sms from Proton as example below.

RM0 Dear vehicle owner: Your SIM card has been activated. If you have any questions, please contact us at 1-800-88-8398. Thank you.

After received, you have to logout your Proton Link app and login again in order for your phone to link to your car.

If still did receive sms from Proton, try goto Proton Facebook and msg their customer support.
Try your luck, so far the standard answer is system problem, please wait for another few days or 2 days.

thus it effect on FC? to get this pop sound. which I believe they put tune it for that engine to emit it?

not significant.

No need to increase cylinder count bro. Just rebuild or change valve size from connector point. To increase cylinder means rebuild whole engine, might as well get a V6 car

change the valve size? you mean in the engine?

Expect it around 8.1L/100km towards high to 10L. Dont expect it to has FC as NA engine.

Its a turbo engine

Agreed, expect 1.5 turbo = 2.0 NA engine consumption.

Assuming it to perform like 2.0NA would it be an understatement?

Previous gen Subaru Forester is clocking between 9km/l - 13km/l with 2.0NA engine, 1.6 ton + AWD

The FC report I see here seems higher than Subaru's except pure highway mileage

Google is your best friend. If you want to compare, Forester still lost to HR-V in both power and fuel consumption.
https://www.nrcan.gc.ca/sites/www.nrcan.gc....ion%20Guide.pdf

From the report the range for class M (Medium) or L (large) or US (Utility Sport), 2.0 cc engine and my rough range is around:
City 8.0~11 L/100km and Highway 7.0~8.5 L/100km

Your claimed on Subaru Forester (hear say?? or user?).
9km/l - 13km/l = 11.1 L/100KM ~ 7.69 L/100KM

X50's user claimed:
8.1 L/100km ~ 10L/100km on City use.
On highway, FB users reported higher mileage (upto 15km/l = 6.7 L/100km) but don't trust this figure, different users may different speed.

The whole points above, that I'm not understatement as this consideration of power and transmission.
This is consumption expected around 2.0 NA engine.
From my experience on Peugeot 405 -2.0 engine, this is the range as well (around 7L/100 KM ~ 9L/100 KM).

8.1L/100km is not that bad but my friend new car still within 1000 km , the fuel performance like drinking water @ 12.1 L / 100km. Probably need to wait after 1k service.

I said bad because many expecting it to give range of 5.5 - 6.5L/100km as those previous myvi with 1.3, 1.5Na engine. Yes those car had better fc due to NA configuration but for power/hp/torque is low. Then Turbo engine only give best fc at highway moderate speed, put it on city or aggressive driving, it drank fuel alot.

Can see this mentality at fb group.

I booked this car since 16 sept 2020 for before this year cny...already half year wait & still no sign from my dealer agent. Every time call to check, always use same excuse...mco lah, hq no one working la, blah blah...I hate to say this but have to concur that we may forget about this car & start moving on...now I finally realize that got hard cash also cannot buy.
