Super Stock!!! thumbup.gif
Hey dude, if you want some free performance upgrade, please remove the air filter. It is pretty much useless, mine is still super clean after 16,000km on odo. If you wanna feel more comfortable, I'll show u my air filter face to face biggrin.gif

I want to ask if i install rear mudguard for my bike pass JPJ or not?
Install gas monoshock also can pass?
If want to install rear disc brake also have to apply to jpj ?
*
Accessories not related to horse power upgrade is allowable. So all your stuff should have no problem

QUOTE(UncleCheang @ Nov 13 2008, 05:22 AM)
Looks like everyone is interested in the fork stabalizer after recommended by charge-n-go bro. I also want to install the stabalizer too after my 1000km service.  drool.gif  Maybe we can find a few people and go together, who knows the boss will give us somoe discount... hehe...
*
The fork expert shop I went only has version 2 stabilizer, more costly compared to version 1. Not much difference though, only color and design looks nicer tongue.gif
The rubber protector on my fork cost another 20 - 30 bucks. That's my only cosmetic modification, lol.
Please let me know and we can arrange a date. I oso need to pre-order bcoz they have very very limited stocks.

NOB1 SSS = super silent sports. The first week sounds like EX5, but after run in, I can HARDLY hear the exhaust note from a few bike distance. It is of course noisier than stock, but less noisy than EX5 or Suzuki Shogun.

I dunno if JPJ has listed this pipe. AFAIK, if our bike is less than certain dB, it complies to JPJ standard. Since NOB1 SSS is sooo silent, it should be fine. I have went through a few road blocks and police didnt noticed I change pipe.

My ultimate goal is also to have my beloved LC fully optimized. No plan to change engine block, loud exhaust and whatever. Just want an ultimate on-road LC which its stock form is already the ultimate among all kapcai in Msia. whistling.gif

from my point of view la, jpj saman kalau bunyi ekzos terlalu bising, takde lampu depan-belakang & lampu brek, takde side mirror. i tak sure kalau pasang brek disc belakang kena saman atau tak, gas monoshock mungkin tak kena punya

No sir, we don't need to reset the carb.

However, if the whole airflow system is modified --> unplug engine breather and exhaust breather hose, removed air filter and modified exhaust pipe, then we need to increase the idle jet and main jet size a lil to supply more petrol. Stock pilot jet is #20 and main jet is #105. We can re-use the pilot jet and increase mainjet to #107.5 for good FC with a slight increase in horsepower. If want more power, #22.5 pilot jet and #110 mainjet is recommended.

Yeap, you are absolutely correct. Tp rear disc depends, if using 125Z rear disc will kena block bcoz police suspect we got a stolen units. So better get some 3rd party one like Racing Boy.
IMHO, rear disc is not very useful. Our stock drum brake is very good already. On top of that, rear disc brake is VERY COSTLY. We need to change the rear rim to support disc brake mounting. The whole modification cost RM600+-. If we have RM600, might as well go for stiffer valvespring (RM100) and Mikuni 28mm carb (RM250). Including workmanship only cost like RM450, damn worth.

Throttle indicator easy only. put a marker when your throttle is at maximum position. Then divide the space between ZERO and MAX to 4 spaces:

------------- <-- this one is ZERO throttle
[section 1]
------------- <-- put another marker here as 1/4 throttle
[section 2]
------------- <-- put another marker here as half throttle
[section 3]
------------- <-- put another marker here as 3/4 throttle
[section 4]
-------------- <-- this one is FULL throttle

WHen I always throttle at [section 1], fuel economy is damn good. It basically uses the idle jet and a bit of pilot jet. anything beyond 1/4 throttle to 3/4 throttle uses jet needle and needle jet. Section 4 no nit to say la, it uses mainjet gao gao with accelerator pump when reaching full throttle, fuel consumption is freaking crazy tongue.gif

I use Royal Purple 10W-40 engine full synthetic oil. RM34 per bottle, can get at http://myoilstore.com

some said the card will need to be retuned, in order to ensure excellent airflow.
this is because aftermarket exhaust mostly didn't have catalyzer,
so the airflow would be more clear or 'lawas'.

can say like this la,
kalau angin keluar banyak, masuk pun kena banyak nod.gif

Yes, you are right, I love NOB1 sound a lot, hohoho.
btw, angin keluar banyak after using NOB1, but problem is the air filter. It is very restrictive, so increasing main jet and pilot jet doesnt help much and its waste of money. Idle jets can be increased a lil though wink.gif

My recommendation is removed air filter after changing exhaust pipe. Imagine when we r jogging, we inhale less air, but exhale more air. How does our body feel? Same goes to our engine.

Yea, just make sure the oil grade is 10W-40 and above. From 10W-30 and below, the engine oil has friction modifier which further smoothen the engine. However, it is not suitable for kapcai since we have wet clutch. The clutch will slip whenever we go full throttle.
btw, I send it back to Hong Leong, since I buy from there. Nothing much actually, js change engine oil. Valve clearance and etc are still in very good condition. I do full service only after 12,000km. (re-adjust valve clearance and carburetor settings, engine becomes much smoother)

I am 25 and I don't even want to buy car. It is costly, high maintenance, high FC and expensive to mod. Even after mod, we still kena stuck in traffic jam. Well, modding a car is same like modding a bike. It is just like overclocking a single core and a quad core.

I think i am the oldest in this forum. aged 30 ++. Thats why i called myself uncle... haha...
I also have a car, kenari. No point mod my car, cause i seldom drive, i let my wife drive...
My car FC 1 week = rm 40
My bike FC 1 week = rm 8
That's the reason why i dont want to drive car to work.
