QUOTE(charge-n-go @ Oct 27 2008, 09:39 PM) I have tried to change engine oil at different mileage. 3000km is the best spot. I am using full synthetic 10W-40 oil. 4000km the oil is a bit too thick. Performance still ok, but engine not so smooth 5000km, the oil is thick already. Performance degraded slightly at top rpm, engine not smooth. 6000km (written in manual book), the oil is damn thick, after oil change the engine feel so light and silent. I also noticed, oil change beyond 3000km will increase the fuel consumption, decreasing about 10km journey per full tank. When oil becomes thicker, fuel consumption become worse. 6000km change has bad FC, decreasing about 20km journey per full tank. I have a throttle indicator so I know roughly how much I throttle and what FC i will get. At 3000km, I am just changing the engine oil. Oil filter can be changed every 6000km. hehe, Bukit Mertajam got ma. thansk for sharing this info. I will take this as a reference. I will wait until my cover "CALAR" a lot and other part getting worst them i will change the cover set, dics brake and gas monoshock. This post has been edited by mls_gamer: Oct 28 2008, 06:02 PM |

You can actually change at 4000km if you seldom speed. I speed at least once per week for 2 hours around mountain passes, tat's why the oil degrade a bit faster than normal. I chose full synthetic because I always travel short distance. Long distance can use semi-synthetic, as you always have enough time to warm up the engine to decrease wear and tear.QUOTE(rainingzero @ Oct 30 2008, 02:15 PM) just bought a new LC135 SS today...after hardthinking and research through forums and website, decided to take SS since i am using it only for work, need a relax and easy ride. no need to pull clutch etc2... welcome dude. Cold start also becomes better. I'll share with you guys if it really works great. Of course, some DIY work is needed. Sending to workshop will cost you a lot more due to labour charge. I think rear disc brake is not worth, unless the engine power increased a lot. Currently my front big disc and rear drum is good enough ady. I'm still researching on which monoshock is good, hehehe. QUOTE(ac_N1 @ Oct 31 2008, 10:02 PM) true, any 2-wheelers will counter a problem when it comes to braking on a wet road, especially during high speed. QUOTE(UncleCheang @ Oct 31 2008, 11:34 PM) I plan to change the type when i got the bike, what type of tyre is good for LC? most people prefer either Dunlop TT900 or Duro. Thanks to salimbest83 & charge-n-go for the info if got extra cash, can try Bridgestone Battlax. but told you, the cheapest pair of Battlax tire costs more than full body airbrush work |
