QUOTE(ac_N1 @ Oct 31 2008, 10:02 PM) Yes, you are damn right!!So, ride slow and be super ultra extra alert on rainy days!!! QUOTE(UncleCheang @ Oct 31 2008, 11:34 PM) I just checked with one of the shop in sungai nibong, they have blue white LC (no clutch version) Hey uncle, don't buy at Nibong. That shop lacks professionalism and expensive. RM6600 is a bit expensive too, you can get a bit cheaper from Hong Leong Yamaha. You can do free service in Yamaha Service Center beside Jelutong high way. The Malay mechanics there are quite pro compared to Nibong folks. They have ready stock, 2 - 3 days can take the bike already. Price is RM6600. If 1 year installment with 3k down payment = total RM7600 Havent test the egine yet cause was rushing for dinner I plan to change the type when i got the bike, what type of tyre is good for LC? Thanks to salimbest83 & charge-n-go for the info QUOTE(rainingzero @ Oct 31 2008, 07:49 PM) of course i will. now studying the manual... Sure, lemme share this guide. It is a simple mod, 0 cost if you can DIY. Else, gotta pay about RM20 - RM30 for workmanship.post ur mod here dude. and also all the instruction... Seems no one know the price for aerokit arr?? First, take off the plastic cover below your basket. There is an airbox with air filter mounted inside. Remove the air filter and you can see 3 holes. One big big one at the center, attached to carburetor. There are another 2 small holes on the left and right. The left small hole is connected to the engine blower pipe, and the right hole is connected to the exhaust pipe. Right hole function is to suck in air into exhaust pipe to the unburned fuel from exhaust stroke. Left hole is like an engine 'breather'. If you open the bike throttle, you can feel some hot air going into the airbox. This hot air contains some petrol as well. If you remove the hose connected to this hole, performance will increase slightly, because you have more cold air (cold air has more oxygen molecules) and no petrol moisture going into the carb. You got a cleaner air. |

Where is the best place i should go if i want to change my tyre? I think you can only let Nibong shop to service your bike. btw, full servicing in Hong Leong Yamaha is about RM30, quite worth. Thanks for your advise. If you wanna change tyre, go Bukit Mertajam. Nibong sell Dunlop TT900 80/90 @ RM95, and many shops in BM selling about RM75 only. Petrol and bridge tol add up oso less than RM10. QUOTE(salimbest83 @ Nov 3 2008, 09:54 AM) im currently using HI PERF 4T SPECIAL 20W50.. No wonder your engine vibrates. Your valve clearance got some problem ady, gotta readjust the valve and rejet your carburetor. How many km is on your odometer ady?btw .. dont have time to go to service centre.. my only transport to go to work.. |

QUOTE(Are_keem @ Nov 3 2008, 05:36 PM) got a question here, what's the difference between 'normal' TT9 and TT9 Low Profile / LP version? That's cheap, RM65 only!!here in my area, TT9 80/90 one can get around RM65 only, but dunno wat type. errr bro, where got Special Edition / SE meh? only Extreme Spirit or ES only la Low profile means the tyre side wall is shorter. For example, 90/90 punya side wall supposed to have 90% of 90mm tyre width (81mm). 80/90 will have 90% of 80mm tyre (72mm), and 90/80 --> low profile series, will have 80% of the 90mm tyre width (72mm). Low side wall decrease tyre rolling, so your grip is better. If you got a low profile at rear, the cornering is more stable. I've tried TT900 LP 90/80 at rear, very satisfied. I m forced to use 80/90 now bcoz tyre kena nail and can't go Bukit Mertajam for 90/80 QUOTE(UncleCheang @ Nov 3 2008, 08:11 PM) Huh really ah? Die lah like that Maybe it's my perception that they are not good. You can try servicing your bike 1st time, see if they check your valve clearance and carb settings. If not, you can always go Yamaha service center Wah go all the way to BM. Can I put 90/90 at rear tyre? Since ori rear tyre already 80/90, i want to make it bigger. Mind to tell me what size of front and rear tyre you using now? Thanks bro Added on November 3, 2008, 8:14 pmI will get my LC tomorrow, black and white one. yeah, u can put up to 100/80 at the rear, but front tyre can go up to 80/90 only. I am using standard size, 70/80 F and 80/90R. Next round I am going to try low profile tyre --> 80/80 F and 90/80R. I've tried TT900 LP 90/80R last time, and it performs very very well. Near botak oso can corner faster than my stock V-rubber when new... |
