any recommended mechanics at KL or Selangor?

I have no idea on KL/Selangor shop. You gotta ask around or DIY. It's pretty easy though wink.gif

fast fast share with us  rclxms.gif

You know the carburetor right. There is a black thing at the top right corner, connected with a 3 wire socket. That thing is TPS. Anti clockwise is increase voltage signal, clockwise is decrease voltage signal. If the voltage signal is increased too much, the idling speed will increase also.

QUOTE(UncleCheang @ Nov 25 2008, 10:58 AM)
Haha i didnt even know where the h*ll that TPS is located.
*
Hehehe, find one day bring your bike to my place. I help you tune, but I need your help to get a multimeter to have accurate readout and also a camera to snap some photos to share for the forumers here. biggrin.gif

* some background stuff on TPS *
It senses the throttle that we open and then feedback to the CDI. So, the CDI will use the throttle, engine rpm and temperature to select the best ignition curve for us. There are near to 40 ignition curves stored inside the CDI memory!
BUTTTT, stupid Hong Leong Yamaha use this TPS to detune our engine, so that our bike kenot go at full potential !!!

So, this tuning is supposed to restore what we should have in the first place. It is a safe modification, but of course the performance gain is a bit only, minor mod only mah. If want geng chao punya mod, then oso have to fork out geng chao punya $$$$ lo tongue.gif

Oh well, my bike is currently in workshop again. I want to increase compression ratio from 10.9:1 to 12.0:1. Oso got some secret mods going on using stock camshaft. Need to ex[eriment first. If successful, it will be another SUPER LOW COST modification if we can DIY, hohohoho. whistling.gif

so this thingy is responsible for cut-off on our bike CDI? if can unlock the CDI cut-off maybe the performance flex.gif
I think that's why 1st batch LC can go out meter .

yes, NOB1 SSS looks much like standard muffler,
but maybe the sound a bit louder, but not too much la.
I think it's suitable for moderate user like us, sound not too loud such as Titanium Series, AHM or YY Pang.

NOB1 SSS costs around rm150.
for the rim and disc brakes, usually people will buy 125Z rims complete with the rear disc set,
new one I'm not sure, but 2nd hand around rm500.

Erm... need to buy a multimeter liao. Need to measure the voltage across that TPS. Standard is 0.5V. Increase up to 0.6V should be able to increase the rev limit a lil.

I'm free on 8th Dec (Monday) lunch hour, or 9th Dec (Tuesday) after work around 7pm. You guys can meet me around Sunshine or Intel PG12 on Mon, or N-park on Tuesday wink.gif

Prefer Monday lunch la, because I can bring you guys straight away to the workshop. icon_rolleyes.gif

LC 1st batch oso got better wiring to supply undisturbed current to CDI and spark plug. That's why I make a dedicated circuit to the CDI and also a return path directly from spark plug to battery. TPS is another matter. My guess is, some later batch bike is hard to get beyond 120kph most likely due to CDI cutoff. TPS is FREAKING sensitive. 1 degree difference can screw up the acceleration and idle speed.
You know la... sometimes when they mass produce, human error can happen. doh.gif

it's a smooth ride, easy on riding from 0-100kmh but hard to go up since there, top 110kmh, 120 downhill..
engine not vibrating even at top speed, the enkei sport rim + rear disk break is worth that price..
its a good bike on easy riding, no no to rempit i guess, top not good enough like 135lc..

My dad has a Shogun 125Z, one generation older. It is very tough to get 120kph. First and second gear is AWESOME, 3rd gear onwards lack of accel, and 4th gear... omg, hard to get top speed. 80kph is a very sweet spot for 4th gear, hehe.
