Yeah, it is good to do in one shot. Save labour cost. However there is a drawback - kenot feel the difference after changing one part to another. tongue.gif
and seriously, those minor mod only has very small effect. It is just a 'touch-up'. Modding the engine straight is like changing the CPU clock speed and voltage - u feel tremendous power increase. Doing minor mods are like playing around with memory timing only - feel a bit, but can see better in benchmark (a.k.a. dyno) tongue.gif

salim:
send back to Hong Leong Yamaha for full service. I know it will take you one full day, but worth it bcoz your engine will be restored back to like.... when u r newly bought!!

mod engine easy only la. using the original block and piston, we just need to increase the airflow and fuel supply into the combustion chamber. It is just like increasing Vcore and clock speed in CPU overclocking.

1. Tuning airflow= remove air filter + change exhaust

2. Supply more fuel = Rejet carburetor / use a bigger carb

3. More accurate ignition timing = change CDI, upgrade coil, spark plug etc.

4. port and polish valve head is an act of increasing item 1 & 2 together. It allows more air/fuel mixture to go into the combustion chamber.

item 3 has the least effect, more like touch up. So, go for 1 and 2 first.

and, changing the camshaft is like changing the microarchitecture of the CPU. kekeke, this is the toughest part, bcoz after we change the 'microarchitecture', we gotta retune item 1 - 3 to optimize for that particular 'architecture'.

Empty vessels make the most noise. Me talk only, no hands on experience. All also send to pro mechanic to modify one. Luckily the effect so far so good, never spoilt engine yet tongue.gif

Erm... I actually retired from PC modding quite some time, haha. Kinda bored with PC ady bcoz during work oso gotta play around with it.
Yea, modding LC is very syiok, a lot of new techs. I enjoy the process of modding, screw up the power oso nvm, at least can learn from mistakes biggrin.gif

raining0, TPS and grounding is considered ignition modification. Any electrical mod is related to ignition, as it uses electric to power the spark plug. Iridium spark plug gives very minimal improvement too.

Just now go and visit my beloved bike in garage. 50% done now. After work 2day, it's time to test run rclxm9.gif

Shit la, whole day no mood to work, js thinking of that bike makes me steam...

It is along the Jelutong Highway. If you can find the newly constructed Shell station along the highway, Yamaha Service Center is just around there. (can see from roadside).
