grab's own card issuance in Malaysia, never reached our shores.

grab's own card issuance in Singapore, just announceed discontinue (your post)

grab co-branding with other banks/issuers .... IRRELEVANT to grab's news.

Yup, was deciding whether to keep the Maybank Grab Mastercard for another year or to cancel the card. Hence the concern whether will the card be discontinued anytime soon in the near future.

Currently using the Maybank Grab card + spending using the Grab app + Grab Unlimited for the redemption of Grabpoints still gives approx 1.3-1.4%; which is still slightly higher compared to the 1% using the GX Bank Debit Card?

How did you come up with 1.3-1.4%? There's nothing interesting to redeem from the catalogue

How do you all earn more points with the MBB Grab card? I always do reload, and then use more GrabPay in my case. Any other tips? Or has everyone moved on to something else with better rewards?

depend on individual. However, max 5000 coin for a month. above usage is getting maybank treatpoint.
You can get 2x coin when use paywave, dining or shopee online (except reload and pay bill).
4x point on special day & on 28th every month.

FYI it will be linked to your shopee account that is registered using the same number as your Maybank card TAC number.

Monthly spend saja, technically 2x, 4x, 5x equivalent to 2%, 4% & 5%

Be sure to link your shopee to same phone number as your maybank's one
