yes, you need call to cancel if not activate the card, else will be charged in your statement, most banks like this, even if you feel Maybank could be different, to be safe, just cancel it properly

activate or not is just the card can use for payment or not, do a proper cancellation process just to be safe, if you did not perform any transaction, even they charged you RM25 SST, can be reverse after all

So I was thinking, at any point of time while most vouchers require to use shopee pay and this card does not issue points for shopee pay reload, it seems like I'm going to contemplating myself in using between the 2. My usage will be limited to 28th of the month with 5x shopee points is equivalent 5% cashback.

Reload shopeepay can't get 5x coins right?

Shopee can't seem to detect a Maybank Shopee Credit CARD, MSCC.

As of now, those vouchers specially for MSCC cannot be utilised

In fact last night I wonder if I made a mistake to use use Maybank Shopee card to reload my Shopee Pay instead of paying directly. So probably that reload was not counted as eligible spending toward RM300. Grrrr. Unless I’m wrong.

Actually I wanted to pay directly with Maybank Shopee visa card but there was this 70% cashback promo for ShopeePay only. So I reloaded the ShopeePay, tried to proceed further then error message: “This 70% cashback promo already fully redeemed” (!!)

Is there any cap for rewards for this card? cant seem to find any written T&C

my guess is rm300 still considered as spending, just that it's not earning any rewards (coin/tp/cashback) across the board.

Means that once RM50(5000 shopee coins) reach,

other spending will in treatpoint form(no limit) 1tp ====> 500tp = RM1

So...after RM50(2% for each RM1 spend)... will become 0.2% rewards in TP for each RM1 spend.

Also wonder the welcome gift of 5000scoins stack with monthly 5000scoins.....e.g spending RM2500 on shopee (existing new shopee cc) get 5000scoins(Welcome gift) + 5000scoins(2% monthly)? or only 5000sc

Capped at 700 coins (worth RM7) only.
I spent RM12 to get 700 coins at 1:00:00am.

Another round at 10:00:00pm sharp 70% but capped at 500 coins only.

500 or 700 coins both are fantastic! So basically you waited right on the dot. I was trying like 30 mins after the hour mark so the 70% CB was gone. It still initially appeared in checkout page but right before submitting the purchase confirmation then the error popped up. Ugghh

If that still counts toward my eligibility to meet RM300 spending for 5000 coins reward, then all was not lost. But dunno lah counted or not
