yes, you need call to cancel if not activate the card, else will be charged in your statement, most banks like this, even if you feel Maybank could be different, to be safe, just cancel it properly

activate or not is just the card can use for payment or not, do a proper cancellation process just to be safe, if you did not perform any transaction, even they charged you RM25 SST, can be reverse after all

good point, i also thinking to apply, if like that seems useless... most of the time i use shopee pay to meet voucher tnc
