Same. But I guess we both are existing Maybank customers? So certain incentives do not apply to us. Such as the RM500 voucher whatever that is (need to read again).

I applied thru Shopee app. Then maybank web browser opens, asking to login, verify TAC, etc. I was approved within 3-4 hours. Didn’t need to submit proof of income since my profile is already with Maybank.

I was approved online on 1/7 and on 4/7 I received the card in mail.

Just wondering:
1. Is there a way to track my spending on Shopee or I need to do it manually thru my card statement?
2. I have a few non-urgent stuff to purchase. It is best to wait on specific dates for “more coins”?

EDIT: According to this flyer, 7.7 is not considered a special day to spend with this card. Or did I miss something?

Non urgent from shopee. Like usb charger from Anker etc (since there is RM10 discount voucher as well).

I was wondering about 7.7 because it was promoted in big fonts. But I guess unrelated to this Maybank card in particular.

While the 50% voucher (RM10 max) discount is nice, I’m wondering if using the card on special days is better as I will also get bonus points on top of the RM10 off.

Btw I think they intentionally doing 28th as separate campaign for better visibility on Maybank Shopee card. If it’s done concurrently with 1.1 2.2 3.3 etc then many people may not notice the card being anything special. It is to both Maybank and Shopee’s benefit to have as many people getting the card. Outside of 1.1, 2.2, 7.7, etc, Shopee can continue to put big banners about this card almost everywhere.

Not in poslaju plastic paket. Seems like normal envelope but I guess since my address is Cheras/Kajang, so delivery was quite fast. Dunno.

Actually I’m not sure lol. I live in kampung house where 1 address had many sub-houses. Aunty downstairs took the mail on my behalf. Signed or not signed I’m not sure, sorry. But yeah, on 2nd thought, the posmen shudda be looking for me as it was quite a sensitive item.

I’m not 100% sure yet but I often use Shopee to buy stuff. In a way, it’s still a cashback card thingy but only useable for future Shopee purchases. At the end of the day, you’ll be your own judge whether the cashback tied only to Shopee is worth it or you prefer other cashback cards that provide more flexibility.

I’m wondering if anyone has asked this.

On 28th, we are eligible for 5x coins. But what about if the listing already has 10% cashback. Are these two rewards eligible to be claimed together or we must choose either one?

While Shopee’s more common 10% cashback is miles better, not all sellers are offering it. Whereas this 2-5% cashback is always there if you use the card for Shopee purchases.

In fact last night I wonder if I made a mistake to use use Maybank Shopee card to reload my Shopee Pay instead of paying directly. So probably that reload was not counted as eligible spending toward RM300. Grrrr. Unless I’m wrong.

Actually I wanted to pay directly with Maybank Shopee visa card but there was this 70% cashback promo for ShopeePay only. So I reloaded the ShopeePay, tried to proceed further then error message: “This 70% cashback promo already fully redeemed” (!!)

500 or 700 coins both are fantastic! So basically you waited right on the dot. I was trying like 30 mins after the hour mark so the 70% CB was gone. It still initially appeared in checkout page but right before submitting the purchase confirmation then the error popped up. Ugghh

If that still counts toward my eligibility to meet RM300 spending for 5000 coins reward, then all was not lost. But dunno lah counted or not

I have existing Amex cards with them. So apply without submitting salary slip, etc. Maybe they only checked my credit card payment history.

I pay in full one or two days after swipe. Basically CC just to collect points.

Although maybe Maybank don’t like having this type of customer? Shopee Maybank is the first card I applied after many many years actually.

T&C says ewallet not eligible for coins reward. BUT if we reload to Shopee’s ewallet, I’m wondering if it’s considered spending on Shopee. The money eventually being used to buy stuff anyway. Still unclear.

I actually cannot use the RM10 also. It says payment method not valid. Aiyaaaa, buang masa betul.

Yeah very sh*tyy lah dis situation. I felt wasted some savings already. If really they can’t get act together, I’ll just call and cancel this card. Can’t even work well with their co-branded shopping app (Shopee). Like what’s the point.

And look at what Shopee answered. Asking me to individually ask 20-30 vendors that participate in this RM10 discount program? Okayyy ...

Check if you can actually use the card to claim the 50% discount voucher from their listed vendors. Mine doesn’t work.
