Bro, the correct map should be the previous you share (as below). The above one is opposite Menglembu Police Station.

New backdoor government suddenly forgotten about the HSBB and National Fiberisation and Connectivity Plan (NFCP) and lost focus on keeping up with laying fibres already.

Now they blindly shifted their attention more towards 5G instead but unaware that you need extensive fiberisation to realize it.

I'm not surprised that many of our MCMC ministers do not come from technical background so they have no idea what they're talking about all the time. They usually sub out the proposal to professional bodies and consultants who are only interested in making fast buck.

That's what I thought too. They literally forgot that NFCP existed. Nobody even cares about 5G when our current 4G barely usable in most places. Plus, not that most of the phones in Malaysia has 5G ready yet. God, I miss Gobind. Those were the golden days of Malaysia's communication sector

Wow, Something Interesting just happen today.

Just as a recap, i have been lurking here for quite sometime complaining about the lack of Fiber in my area despite being surrounded by it.
There has been update from Tx Contractor trying to pull fibers as quick as possible and it's speculated that it's a move to counter TNB Allo Expansion.

Well today I got a message from contractor that TNB Allo will be available in my Taman and ask me details for subscriptions. So it makes sense now why their competitors are moving so
fast now after 10 years delay.

Apparently TNB Allo Used the Electrical Pole for their expansion like they shown in the video?
I thought they will have dedicated Telecom Pole like Tx for Fiber lines.

But that will give them advantage on expanding quickly i think.

Good for you man. Meanwhile, TM still hasn't reply my MCMC report yet 😂 They are surely taking their sweet in replying but I noticed TM is doing something in my area. They already digging a hole and install something besides it. Might be an FDC since there's already a cement surface but no cabinet yet. Will keep my eye on it.

Haven't seen any activity from the Allo Contractor team. Wonder how long will it take to deploy their fiber if they are using the electrical pole.

Meaning Allo is starting their Phase 2 already? Great news to those who stay at that area. I still hoping Allo will still continue to expand to my hse area in Menglembu 🤞

Actually dave99021, based to my surveilling in Menglembu rollout, Allo used the mixture of existing electricity poles and newly lay poles (those with purple box paint).

I see, I think that page got mention that new area will be using Electrical Pole rather than newly lay pole( presumably to reduce deployment time).
And i'm thinking are they doing that to bypass pulling underground cable from the FDC as well?



I will scout for Allo Fiber Activities around my area and update in this thread. although i'm not sure what i'm looking for as i think the fiber is not color coded ?

Mostly it will be "on poles" as i think it will be cheaper then laying underground [as seen in most MLBUA (Menglembu) cases].

Today I have make a trip around the botani/ampang side but it seem no work have been start yet. Maybe dave99021 have to wait for this few week.

I've already paid for this month(Sep) about week ago, seems like no response at all. I've already e-mail to them but no luck...So does the payment take a long time to process or what?

Yeah, The contractor just said it will be available this year which means it will be ready by the end of Q4.
I will keep looking for their activities and update here
