hi all, is there any physical store in klang valley that allows testing keyboards now?

i wanna test switches before committing to a purchase. tbh i already bought a switch tester, but still can't decide whether i prefer linear or tactile.

i think i will be able to decide if i can test type on a whole keyboard instead of only a few keys lol. but i don't want to spend on full sets of switches just for testing, you see. prefer to save money where i can coz i'm kinda broke at the moment, but also wanna treat myself to a nice keeb for my birthday haha.

afaik digital mall, and lowyat should have a few shops for this. however, please make sure you can take care of yourself. i don't encourage this because there is still a high chance to get covid-19 as your birthday present.

For the sound that is comparable to their Jelly Epoch and Mr. suit I think still reasonable hehe.

Think for the white Q1 case just need to wait a little longer before the local disti carries the white colour version.
Since previous all version can be ordered directly thru Keychron website but have to add in shipping cost.

overpriced or not, is subjective in this hobby, especially custom parts. it's really up to interested buyers to justify. it's like people asking us why getting plastics from gmk.

well, i mean beside user preferences, justifications should include:
1. specifications of the kit, like overall design, color choices, plate options (plate materials; standard/half/flex-cut), pcb options (hot-swap/solderable; layout supports; firmware choices/support), keyboard construction options (certain kits can support multiple plate-mounting styles), presence of weights/foams and other accessories; you might also wanna take into consideration additional parts that you wanna get; and
2. alternatives that can match the kit, if any, in terms of whatever that you're looking for.

by comparing at least the above (and the costs involved, including shipping and taxes), usually you will have your final decision made. remember that you can always skip them all, and wait for the next kit. it's fine.

custom kits can be relatively expensive because they are limited in nature, and they have options and qualities that might not be available in entry-level or mid-tier kits. if you're really interested in getting them, menabung can be a good starting point. on the other hand, remember that you don't need to spend a lot to have a relatively better typing experience.

.. and yes, the poison is real smile.gif

yes, but it's one of the norms in limited gb, i.e., usually there is a obvious difference in pricing during and after gb, which is also depending on stock availability, or whether the maker still accept new orders or not, after gb.

this is different from unlimited gb, like kbd67 lite, which has a 4-round run.

edit: there are a number of formats/patterns on how a gb is conducted. for details and updates, it's better to check the original gb posts from time to time.
edit.2: also, pay attention to exchange rates as well. we have a shitty rate for usd these days.

What kind of chording do you do?
On my current board I do ASD for Win+Shift+S (Windows Snip and sketch tool) and Home+End for Alt+Prt Scr (no standard Prt Scr at all on any layer).

On my numpad, I use 12 for a, 23 for b, 3Enter for c, 45 for d, 56 for e, 6+ for f. Helps me to enter MAC addresses and IPV6 addresses faster just from the numpad.

Come give me some ideas please. notworthy.gif

imo, the key thing to do in stabilizer tuning is to identify actual causes of the issues, then apply necessary modifications accordingly. if possible, don't apply any that don't help.

haha yea, that's why i'm wondering if anyone here knows a dedicated store that's not in a mall so it won't be so crowded... or a specific store in a mall so i can go directly and leave as soon as i'm done instead of wandering from shop to shop.

i actually already kena covid recently (and i was so careful too sweat.gif), but of course reinfection is a possibility so i'll try to be cautious still. thanks anyway!
