this is a godsend. a big thank you and a big hug to the original poster. i am now downloading a torrent at ~110 KiB/s after the previous doldrums of 5-10 KiB/s!

ok in all our joy of having stumbled upon a bit torrent client that actually works to overcome tmnet's short-sightedness, has anyone ever wondered if there are tmnet spies monitoring these forums? if they get wind of this, then they may put something in place to ban deluge or something like that. can it be done or am i being paranoid?

has anyone noticed frequent disconnection when using deluge? is that tmnet's way of curbing the usage? anyways i have a few theories but would love to hear from you guys.
firstly just before installing deluge in PCLinuxOS, my netgear wifi router decided to stop working. so then i had to connect to streamyx using the dsl modem straight to the phone jack. i do get good speeds with deluge but i often get disconnected. sometimes the connection gets reconnected automatically but sometimes it just stops working. this causes my torrent speeds to fluctuate.
i do not know if its a problem with the modem or if its because i now do not have a router. of course another explanation is if stremyx have already found out about deluge and is purposely disconnecting me!
