the new deluge-torrent_0.5.4.1-1_i386 had problem.. no selective downloads & compact allocation problem.. i had to revert back to 0.5.4.0..well it's a free stuff, and free downloads without vpn..so no complaint too much...

In case where using guest Linux under VMware, mouse scroll does not work.To fix this, open terminal and type the following: $ sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf Then find "InputDevice" section with Identifier "Configured Mouse" Change Option "Protocol" "ps/2" to Option Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2" Last restart X using Ctrl + Alt + Backspace |

QUOTE(robb234 @ Aug 26 2007, 12:26 AM) that transparent window is done by installing beryl (window manager)... beryl now merge with compiz, making it compiz fusion... to install it, u need a geforce 3 card and a 1.2GHz processor to accomplished that..check it out at: http://www.opencompositing.org/ Added on August 26, 2007, 1:01 ami think u could install beryl in ubuntu from the add/remove in settings.. QUOTE(aMer @ Aug 28 2007, 11:21 PM) @skitZo` what he mean is at ur VMware settings if ur using router to connect, set ur VMware ethernet to bridge mode so it can give the virtual machine an external ip address not share with ur host machine..what do you mean Birdge Mode? if u use NAT in Vmware the virtual machine share ip address with the host computer. well there is another meaning (router mode) if ur set ur router to bridge mode, the router won't route internet WAN ip to ur computer instead u have to do it manually like ur using xp dialer.. |

QUOTE(hpares @ Aug 29 2007, 02:20 AM) @@.here some question. which connection is more good? Bridge in WMserver or NAT? How to do bridge? I cant connect if i set bridged connection. i recommend u using bridge connection and install SMB in ubuntu, so you could move files from ubuntu and xp easy... or u could get vmware tools to work so u could drag & drop files from ubuntu to xp folders easily but the downside is while ur copying the files vmware pause it for a while and resume the VM back.. so i prefer to use bridge mode.. i also prefer using NAT... the different is just how u assign the network.. if u choose NAT it will be shared the ip address with the host computer..if u choose bridge it will bridge to ur network adapter and give the virtual machine and external ip address. This post has been edited by Minority116: Aug 29 2007, 04:37 AM |
