the normal ubuntu install (from a CD) WOULD NOT let you continue without putting in a password. i dont know about the vmware package but it should be the same. so you must have put in one

i tried setting up deluge on my another computer with a different brand of router

user posted image

why do i keep getting this?
It says my port is closed on the 60.51.XXXXX ip which is the external ip,i already configure the static ip,so why does it keep showing up that ip?

on my other comp,it shows both tcp and unp ports, but not this one

i changed the port number and it managed to open it,strange....
too bad i don't have crazy speeds like yours, sad.gif
the max i could achieve is around 20-60kbs,and that took quite a while to get that speed.

for ktorrent,i keep getting the "stalled" status,i already port forwarded and downloaded the latest version, still the same

wait, are you running ubuntu natively (normal install), using vmware or using wubi?
that is really weird. you must be lacking some dependancies. Use the synaptic package manager. it should load all your needed dependencies.
*
Haha. Seems like I checked the option to get source from CD within the synaptic package manager. Now can use WinSCP already. Thanks ya. Anyway, I'm using VMWare.

u got 2 choices... if u wanna run ubuntu with vmware, u only need VMware-player and ubuntu appliance

but if u wanna run ubuntu alone without mess up with ur windows partition, u only need wubi. So choose...

but since ur pc so powerfull, maybe u should use vmware...
