QUOTE(hpares @ Aug 14 2007, 09:27 PM) My speed seems to be slow ler. Even in window also faster. Maybe open port from my window firewall not enough? Do i still need open port from elseway? did u use vmware n ubuntu?.. try disable firewall in ubuntu. If u use deluge, try use ktorrent. N make sure u enable the encryption. It doesnt work if encryption is off This post has been edited by blackamikaze: Aug 14 2007, 10:36 PM

For those who are running slax 5.1.8, here's how to get NTFS write capability...
Open up terminal windows : umount /mnt/hda1 ntfsmount /dev/hda1 /mnt/hda1
Replace the hda1 with your harddrive device name.

QUOTE(O'Connor @ Aug 14 2007, 09:48 PM) nah, just subscribe to VPN service.it work for me. the whole point of this thread was to inform people of a free way to get your torrent speeds up. i already pay for streamyx, why would i want to pay some guy for the simple job of setting up a VPN.

Just want to ask if i want to download ssh for Ubuntu Feisty 7.04 what's the command to be used in the terminal. I can't seem to find the ssh from the Internet. The closest I got is sudo apt-get install openssh which then prompt me for the Ubuntu CD. Currently I'm using Ubuntu VMWare and would like to transfer file from Ubuntu to my Vista thru WinSCP.

This is the best way to test torrent download speed. Even vpn provider will ask the same thing to benchmark the speed. Is there anyway to bypass this? wait, are you running ubuntu natively (normal install), using vmware or using wubi? that is really weird. you must be lacking some dependancies. Use the synaptic package manager. it should load all your needed dependencies.
