Just a note to consider...
Mmf fund has no pidm unlike FD.
Cash Mgmt Fund can get negatives returns... As it has risk as per the prospectus.
For best fd rate, try check the FD thread
*
Understand no pidm, but bank rate totally cannot now.
KDI Save is fixed rate right? the risk is unless Kenanga investment bank goes bankrupt

QUOTE(xander83 @ Mar 10 2022, 11:51 PM)
Not all MMF are higher than FD in the 1st place  doh.gif

If you looking 3% and low risk bond is the wY to go
*
what is wY?
i am looking for fixed rate of return.
main still with bank, plan to partial into MMF

KDI Save:

The cash shall be placed into Kenanga Investment Bank Bhd’s Treasury Products, mainly comprising deposits.

what is treasury product?
mainly comprising of deposit means what? about how many % is in it?
what is deposits?
does it has SUKUK or Bond products in that treasury product?

does the treasury product holds 100% Kenanga investment bank bond?
if NO, then even if kenanga investment bank goes bankrupt it does not matter...

if you want rate that is currently better than KDI Save ....i think is SSPN Prime....especially now if you are eligible to join the dividend +1% rewards...

Hi, i have a few question about Versa

I see they only payout the interest once a month for Versa Cash. Does it mean if i invest 10k and based on2.5%pa my my daily interest is around 60sen+ then will it compound? And if i wish to withdraw the 10k the next day will i still get the 60sen or have to wait payout or it will gone?

Because i used tng go+ before and they pay to my go+ account daily and i can withdraw all at once but i aint sure if tng go+ do compound interest or only our initial deposit are calculated for the p.a rate

High unlikely that will happens

Even if it that happens the money is in trustee hence you can claim from Trustee instead

Versa because of the 4% ?

Can consider KDI 3.5% will be credited daily into your account so you can track profits

wonder which MMF u going to invest?

You can actually consider our FSMOne MMF, RHB Cash Management Fund 2 (CMF2), 2.514% p.a, the rate is based on annualized interest rate minus 0.40% as at 02 Nov 2022

you can park your money in the CMF2 at 0% sales charge to earn potentially better returns while waiting for the right time to invest.

and also, Our business is under iFAST Capital Sdn Bhd while client’s assets are registered under iFAST Nominees Sdn Bhd. Therefore, in the unlikely event that the business goes bust, clients assets will not be affected as it is separately registered under a nominee.

With the rates and inflation now 2.5 is really really low

It cant keep up with inflation so we're actually losing money

Hmmm I see some banks offer 4%+ FD interest rate.
but at least you can use MMF to manage your cash flow in a convenient way without any hassle lock-in periods.

Versa is not 100% everyone can get 4%
even though Versa CS would tell everyone can get 4%

It is based on First come first serve basis
and till the campaign budget run out then you will get 2.5% only

some more the interest calculation is convoluted , bonus in cash lar, pay out in Trust fund units etc,
and not come in all at 1 go.

and worse pay u end of the month only, by the time you kena 2.5% only you know
too late to move out

Which broker do you recommend for this fund? Thinking of building a small stash in SGD just in case.

Feels like moneowl is safer, but moomoo and tiger have a dedicated mobile app for convenience.

It doesn't seem to be on ibkr though.

If you plan to buy sg stocks, open with Moomoo or tiger.
If you just want to "hold" SGD cash, then anyone will do. For me, I will choose the one with the highest return.

Readers should beware of the law of one price... that with higher returns, there's presence of unspoken risks, no matter how small or insignificant they are.

With MMFs, readers ought to monitor the health of the fund's counterparties from time to time (Singapore MMFs are usually transparent about this as they will list them down in the factsheets). Readers should at the very least know who borrows their money.
