QUOTE(Lavenderhouse @ Jun 6 2020, 06:24 PM) Then you'll have to go with the OP7T Pro. The Poco F2 Pro doesn't have OIS Edit: Also, the most reviews of the camera for the Poco F2 Pro seems average at best. Definitely not flagship worthy. This post has been edited by attw: Jun 6 2020, 09:15 PM |

The review from GSMArena did remark that the photos from the F2 Pro are pretty inconsistent - 20% of the photos they took didn't look good, hahaha. Definitely not the phone for those who prioritise photography. |

I am one of the potential buyers of Poco F2 Pro.
This afternoon when doing some research on this phone and found an article from soyacincau (https://www.soyacincau.com/2020/05/09/poco-f2-pro-launch-12-may-malaysia-sirim-5g-wifi-6/). In the article, it states that "According to the SIRIM listing, the new Pocophone will support 3500MHz and 3700MHz 5G bands but it’s missing the lower 700MHz which is listed for the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. On top of that, the device also supports 802.11ax WiFi 6 and NFC." When referring to the MCMC website, it is stated that "The 700 MHz, 3.5 GHz and 26/28 GHz bands have been identified for the initial deployment of 5G in Malaysia" (https://www.mcmc.gov.my/en/media/press-releases/final-report-on-allocation-of-spectrum-bands-for-m). From the above, does it means there is a potential issue for Poco F2 Pro to use 5G in Malaysia due to lack of 700MHz support? I am not so familiar with the above jargon, hope someone can help to clarify. Many thanks. |

Another thing, how long you wish to use ( like in real life you really keep using ) the phone, coz 5G in Malaysia near non existence this year, next year also wont have meaningful enough coverage. Personally I skip every info/spec for 5G on new released phone. Basically gimmick now. |

Each Telco can only deploy based on the BAND Licensed to them or they leased from other company that are being licensed by the Gov.Another thing, how long you wish to use ( like in real life you really keep using ) the phone, coz 5G in Malaysia near non existence this year, next year also wont have meaningful enough coverage. QUOTE(yangkwok @ Jun 8 2020, 01:04 AM) I am one of the potential buyers of Poco F2 Pro. I don't think 5G should be a consideration right now for getting a phone in Malaysia coz I think we're at least 3 years or more away from seeing 5G implemented on a wide and meaningful way in our country. There was also an article of some sort about the Galaxy S20 Ultra not supporting some 5G band in Malaysia too and that's a RM5000 phone. If you're buying the Poco F2 Pro and planning to use it for at least the next 5 years or so then I do believe that your concerns are valid, and hopefully someone here from the Telco industry or subject matter expert can help clarify this for you » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I am not so familiar with the above jargon, hope someone can help to clarify. Many thanks. QUOTE(destiny017 @ Jun 8 2020, 01:29 AM) Yes, but most reviews of the cameras are just average at best, with the exception of the macro camera. Seems that one is pretty good |

Seems that one is pretty good Smartphone drives 4G IoT drives 5G So, please ignore 5G for now. By the time change next phone, 5G is not even fully deployed in Malaysia yet. |
