1. using mca is immediate AFAIK... BNM limits myr 30k per day, 300k per month

2. get a proper us bank, link to wise using ach, apply local credit card... spend and get cashback... wise card keep in drawer as backup
*
If we break up into 2 transactions of 20k per day which exceed 30k, will it go through?

Hi, i have the Wise card and it's not being used. Is there any benefit of using it locally?

Secondly, i read that we can't send/receive money to any other banks accounts besides our own name, is this correct?

eToro stopped accepting prepaid card topups recently so Wise no longer works there. Asked them why and they said it was their Finance department's decision. So if you still use them you're stuck with either CC or Debit Cards for quick topups. Not sure if Bigpay still works since I stopped using it ever since I heard about their change from MC to Visa. Bank transfers might still work for a minimum of $500 but their bank is apparently in the UK so I have no idea what fees will be involved there.

Wise does have banking info though. Or am I missing something.

Try transfer from Wise UK wallet to etoro UK bank?

Wise Visa debit card uses the currency balance in your Wise account.

Example if you buy a USD product online, you can deposit USD XXX into it first then swipe at the website. The card will auto deduct the USD balance.
If don't have USD balance it will convert your other currencies in your account to become USD in order to go through (with some charges).

Sorry, I couldn't find an official thread for Wise. Do point me in the correct direction if there is.

Meanwhile, first time exploring into wise, compared and read through as much as I can think of, but I'm still trying to sort out all the information in my head.

Is it worth the wise card just for the occasional travel overseas only once or twice a year? as compared to BigPay. I have no experience using cards overseas, then I got Bigpay to try, just then Covid happened. tongue.gif

No other intentions for now (such as local spendings, investments, shopping)

Edit: After posting this, I realized I am still much confused the Wise works. I'll reevaluate my understanding on the whole Wise thing.

Hi all, i am about to use my wise card overseas next month but should i take note of anything? I've not used the card here but i've set everything.

Secondly, i read somewhere that Wise pin is 4 digits while some merchants need 6 digits?
