Based on what i'm reading, certain local bank terminals are still not accepting the wise card, could it also happen abroad when foreign bank terminals are not accepted?

Hi, i have the Wise card and it's not being used. Is there any benefit of using it locally?

Secondly, i read that we can't send/receive money to any other banks accounts besides our own name, is this correct?

Hi all, i am about to use my wise card overseas next month but should i take note of anything? I've not used the card here but i've set everything.

Secondly, i read somewhere that Wise pin is 4 digits while some merchants need 6 digits?

Please go to shop and enter pin once to activate it before u travel

In this case, i need to add some MYR first into the account to test, correct?

I was reading earlier and apparently another option is to go to the ATM and click balance enquiry. Does this work also?

Yes. U must add money. This is prepaid card not credit card.
Only retail with pin. Dont pay wave

I've transferred the money into MYR account but have not tested the card.

Question: I have set up a SGD, MYR and USD account. All "inside the country" has an account but "outside the country" does not have an account. How do i interpret the inside/outside to use?

U can convert into that currency. Not allow to transfer sgd to sgd (example)- outside
Within local country, can transfer from bank

Ok, i'll try to explore a bit.

I tried to use the card at KK mart earlier with pin (added two zeros) to make it 6 digit. It didn't work.

Tried at CIMB after that, it detected the card but does not show any balance. Weird.

Initially was ok in London but after awhile PIN and wave also can't go thru. Contacted their CS and they reset for me 3 times in a week and finally told me to get a new card. Had to use BigPay instead
*
did the CS mention what was the issue or did the new card resolve it?

Faulty card, easy way out for them.
Have not applied for a new one yet, need to pay even if faulty card

in that case, i think it's safer if i keep my big pay card too as a backup

Anyone tried using wise to withdraw money in Singapore? Is it the same steps as our ATM here and is it limited to specific banks?

Do you guys normally convert to the current you want and keep in Wise or just let it convert during a transaction?

It says there is a small fee, so i am wondering is the fee amount same as converting into the wanted currency and holding it?

Wise now partnered with Interactive Brokers and you can fund your account via through Wise in IBKR portal for faster transfer.

I've not tried this new way but i wonder which is faster, Wise in IBKR portal or Wise to SG bank and to IBKR.
