Anyone got face this issue? Paid 13.70 for wise debit card end up got charge 20 bucks for cash advance fee from Public bank credit card. If I know earlier will use bank FPX to order for the card instead.

I called public bank and ask they confirm it’s from this Wise transaction.

It is a CASH ADVANCE transaction, similar to the purchase of cash-like assets eg Casino.

A one-time cash advance fee will be charged for the amount of cash advance or a minimum of RM20.00, whichever is higher. In addition, Finance Charge will be computed on each cash advance calculated from the date the cash is advanced until the date it is settled in full.

Finance Charge for Cash Advance: 18% per annum, finance charge will be computed on each cash advance calculated from the date the cash is advanced until the date it is settled in full.

big pay get rate based on on that day spend. wise is you can buy first rather than it do conversion. (even u can allow it to do conversion)

I've transferred the money into MYR account but have not tested the card.

U can convert into that currency. Not allow to transfer sgd to sgd (example)- outside
Within local country, can transfer from bank

Ok, i'll try to explore a bit.

I tried to use the card at KK mart earlier with pin (added two zeros) to make it 6 digit. It didn't work.

Tried at CIMB after that, it detected the card but does not show any balance. Weird.

Don't look at fees. It's just marketing.
Key in say MYR1k and see who give you the most SGD for your rm1k. That's how you know who's chepaer. Test it out. You don't need to transfer.

There maybe no fees, but the exchange rate is markup. Come back to same thing.

Trust me. That's why I never get caught by no fees marketing.

yea misleading.. I tried input 1k SGD then Wise ended up cheaper... got conned by the notice haha!

Well you know. The only banks that's cheap is UOB but still expensive Vs wise Vs Sunway money.

Sunway money have always offer the best rate. That's why I always use them. No one even come close to sunway money rates.
