If you chose the normal postage, it would originally start with SingPost in Singapore then be transferred to Pos Malaysia once it arrives in Malaysia. My assumption since I used DHL express but inside the packaging it had SingPost envelope.

Is money received in the MYR section considered taxable if you use Wise to receive payment and hold the money in the Wise account?

is that money is considered as "Income" ?

Since 2004 to date, “income received in Malaysia from outside Malaysia” or foreign-sourced income (“FSI”) received by Malaysian taxpayers is not taxable due to the availability of tax exemption under Paragraph 28, Schedule 6 of the ITA (“Para 28”). Under this law, exemption is given to any person, other than a resident company carrying on the business of banking, insurance, or sea or air transport, in respect of income derived from sources outside Malaysia and received in Malaysia.

Govt agrees to exempt tax on foreign source income for resident taxpayers – MoF
The tax exemption is effective from Jan 1, 2022 to Dec 31, 2026.

Bruh, why so mafan want to bank transfer to Wise (JPMorganChase) MYR Balance. Just use FPX to top-up your MYR balance. Bank transfer takes about a day while FPX is instantaneous.

You don’t bank transfer to Wise, pay via FPX. Imagine it like paying for your Shopee/Lazada shopping. The bank transfer feature is meant for Malaysians to bank transfer you money.

1. Paypal Malaysia used to be able to withdraw USD to US bank to save FX rate, now they don't allow anymore only can withdraw MYR with their shitty FX rate, if u want to withdraw USD to wise us bank u must open another US paypal

2. not sure about tiger broker may u try use webull, i just tried recently with wise u can now deposit USD directly via ACH, ibkr also good if u want to buy irish domicile ETF like CSPX

When BNM asks you to shut a feature off, you shut em off. So can't exactly fault PayPal for not allowing multi-currency withdrawal anymore. Think that's part of the reason why Transferwise gained such a huge traction back then locally anyway.

you need a CIMB SG account if want to withdraw from Tiger Brokers.. check Tiger brokers thread here.

Check Ziet Invest videos on how to open a CIMB SG by first having a CIMB MY account. Can do everything digitally don't have to go to Singapore. Most important is need a CIMB MY active account first.

Currently Wise transfer is only for depositing money easily into Tiger Brokers.
